The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever draws near to Allah during it (Ramadan) with a single characteristic from the characteristics of (voluntary) goodness, he is like whoever performs an obligatory act in other times. And whoever performs an obligatory act during it, he is like whoever performed seventy obligatory acts in other times.” (Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, no. 1887)
I would appreciate if someone can comment on the authenticity of this narration (or another similarly worded one.. ). Islam_qa_._com says that it is weak. If that is so, is it so weak that it must be refrained from quoting, or that one must let others know? Also, what about the oft-quoted narrations about dividing Ramadhan into 3 parts - each part with a particular fadheelah? Jazaak Allaah Khayr. |

Hadhrat, jazaak Allaah Khayr. This thread is honored!
I would also appreciate commentary on the first Hadeeth: The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: “Whoever draws near to Allah during it (Ramadan) with a single characteristic from the characteristics of (voluntary) goodness, he is like whoever performs an obligatory act in other times. And whoever performs an obligatory act during it, he is like whoever performed seventy obligatory acts in other times.” (Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah, no. 1887) Again, jazaak Allaah Khayr. |
