Default Risks of performing Haj during pregnancy (4 to 5 months)
Assalaamualikum !

I wanted to know whether its safe for 4 to 6 months pregnant women to perform Hajj (this year 2012).

I would really appreciate if any one could share their experiences and thoughts on this subject, inshaallah, it would help taking the right decision.

Jazakallah

Does she normally have a smooth pregnancy? If so, then it shouldn't be too difficult for her. These days, Hajj is not always as taxing on a person physically and although she may have to walk a considerable amount, if she walks at a comfortable pace and avoids dehydration then its fine. You'll need to plan your Hajj so that things are easier for her, i.e. stoning the jamarat at times of lesser crowds, getting to the toilets at off peak times and maybe even staying overnight in Makkah instead of Mina and walking there instead. All in all, as long her own health is fine and she does suffer excessive sickness or falls ill, it shouldn't be too difficult for her.

I performed Hajj with a 5-6 months pregnancy and had four young children with me too. Alhamdulillah, everything was very easy. In fact, people were very, very kind and accommodating even at times when I didn't need it.
