Assalamualaikum,
I had always believed that Ahle-Hadith in the subcontinent always tried to count Imam Ghazali r.h as part of their group. However, I was surprised to see the below vedio in which they are critising Imam Ghazali r.h works too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVHpC...eature=related Can someone please comment on their current and old stance on Imam Ghazali r.h ? |

Spend your Ramadan wisely brother.
I don't see the benefit in these repeating threads of yours on Taqleed. Please state the exact niyyah with which you are trying to attain these information and then you can see for yourself if it is beneficial or not (especially in Ramadan). al-Hasan Ibn ‘Alī [رضي الله عنه]: "Indeed those who came before you saw the Qur’ān as personal letters from their Lord. So they would ponder over it by night and yearn for it by day." [al-Tibyān, by Imām al-Nawawī] Qataadah used to complete the Qur’aan in seven days, and when Ramadaan came, he would complete it every three days. When the last ten days came, he would complete it every night. [Al-Siyar (5/276)] It was narrated from Mujaahid that he used to complete the Qur’aan every night in Ramadaan. [Al-Tibyaan by al-Nawawi (p. 74). He said: Its isnaad is saheeh.] |
