Pepsi and Coke should be banned. They are a big hazard for health.

Vinegar production doesnt lead to the sinking of the water table, and millions of people drinking arsenic laden water, and then getting polio and rickets.
Totally preventable disieses that effects a persons whole life. for the sake of a recreational soft drink.
If you think this is a halaal product, AND you know the production process, then you have no heart.

I cant believe i am having to argue for WATER, over a recreational soft drink, of all places on a sunni forum. What part of the Sunnah ignores this? This is not the Sunnah i know about.
This is not my one dimensional sunnah. I understand what the Ulema say when they say people have left the Sunnah.

An addictive sugar rush is more important than a poor mans right to drink clean fresh water. Absolutely crazy. End of time is definitely near, no other explanation.

Ask the Ulema, is the production process part of making a product halaal or haraam, when its a manufactured product, that effects the rights of poor people to drink clean drinking water in the millions.
Its a fact that water is a scare resource (in that it replenishes over time) and that you cant over farm waters, as the rains need to come and refill the underground aquifers.
This is a perfect example of how muslims have "sold out" on their fellow mankind. Imagine the sahaabah knew about this damage to water resources? What would they do? Ignore it? Ignore the production and manufacturing process, and just concentrate on the end product?

I've lived in NY my whole life and never heard of this. Apple pie and baseball, sure, but Coke? But if it's true in other states, no wonder more than half of Americans are overweight or obese. Disgusting.

You have hit the nail on the head brother. Sadly, many Muslims are only concerned about the end product and will not think about the other less palatable aspects.

NY isn't considered to be part of America, but a foreign country, where I come from.

As for myself; I drink Dr Pepper.

If you want to get technical, Dixie is taken from a foreign country and is less part of America than NY, i.e taken from Mexico..

Just saying....

Incorrect

The only Dixie state that was once part of Mexico is Texas.

Yes, and Texas was in your avatar, with a stars and stripes flag covering the State, all glorified, and in reply to your quote "where i come from" (Post 30). So i assumed by Dixie and "where i come from" you must mean Texas. If you were from Louisiana, i would think you would have a Lousiana State Flag glorified in your avatar?

Texas was part of America 100 years AFTER NY, after it was stolen from Mexico

Also all the southern states suceeded AFTER NY, so regardless where you came from, technical fact that NY is more part of America than all 11 states in "Dixie".

Alcohol is haram, if the purpose of the drink is alcohol and if drinking high amounts of it can make you drunk. Means, if it's not a practical thing like vinegar.

Some people should realise that apple and mango and pineapple also contains alcohol, every fruit does, and you can even get drunk from eating it.
Drinking coca cola with so little alcohol doesn't make it haram, if you drank 50 litters at the same time, it wouldn't be enough to make you drunk. Even walkers crips contain alcohol, so why are people so frightened about alcohol? You should do some chemical research on the subject first.

Correct me if I'm wrong, W/salam.

No, Texas was not stolen from Mexico as you allege.

Read a little history and you will find out than both Americans and Mexicans fought against Mexico and won the territory called Texas.

It was it's own independent country for approximately 10 years.

And eventually negotiated with the U.S. government to be annexed as a state in the Union.

brother.

Apple, mango, pinapple etc in its raw form does not contain Ethyl Alcohol in it.
Only if it undergoes the process of fermentation, Ethyl Alcohol (the alcohol that is haraam) is produced.

Eg: Grapes do not contain ethyl alcohol naturally. Only after one ferments it one gets wine.

Yes i forgot, the natives welcomed the foreign invaders, colluded with the foreign invaders and declared their native land over to the foreign invaders. How stupid of me to think otherwise!
