There are many scholars who have researched this music issue and concluded that those narrations are weak. So why be suprised if lay Muslim people have the same view. Live and let live.
and who said dancing is haram during weddings? is it a funeral or a wedding you're going to? I've seen videos of pakistani weddings, and I was shocked, even though the hall was filled with just women and children, no one danced, moved a limb or even sang.. how boring!!. Everyone was sat on the floor just awaiting the food. It seems like the food is the highlight of the wedding. Indian weddings by contrast are much more lively...i like that. So i would say that this no dancing thing u mentioned....is in fact a cultural aspect of Pakistanis while u r trying to present it as being Islamic. |
