Salaaam,
A brother is in a dilema and has asked me to find out what the correct thing to do is.
Just after your thoughts.
A brother and his wife are expecting their first child mashallah.
The brother wishes to sit itikaaf however the 3 month scan is supposed to be a few days before itikaaf starts but the appointment has come through a week into itikaaf (they are trying to re-arrange).
Should the brother sit itikaaf or sacrifice itikaaf so he can go to the hospital scan with his wife.
There are plenty of other family members around so the wife will not be alone in any given situation.
What would you advice the brother? his wife is of an understanding nature.
