Aslamo Alikum,
Dear All, Many of us do good deeds and Allah (swt) watches our good deeds and appreciate them but we start feeling that no one is watching our good deeds and appreciating them, so we start yelling about our good deeds and saying that I have done this good deed and I have done that good deed. As soon as we yell about our good deeds, our good deeds get void in the sight of Allah (swt). This is why, our elders teach us, Naiki ker aur dryaa mein daal (Do good deed and throw it in river). It means, do good deed and do not remember it, just forget it, when you will forget your good deed, then Allah (swt) will remember it and if you will remember your good deed yourself and brag about it, then Allah (swt) will forget it and belittle you. Conclusion: Keep doing good deeds and keep forgetting them because Allah (swt) will always remember them and reward you. |
