There are a lot of issues for a pious Muslimah on this:
- consider in your life you didn't veil your face and later you regard this as mandatory. How do you control your photos you've posted online without the veil? - how do you control that only mahrems see your photos? Privacy settings are not 100% foolproof. - you used to wear Western dress and now you've see the light and dress properly.... - and there might be other scenarios. And an extreme example: - a non Muslimah reverts but has the web filled with her previous job in the "modelling" industry. There's nothing really one can do to delete every single picture. Perhaps - keeping a photo album and displaying it to people when visiting your house is better a million times than posting a single picture on the technology we now have called the "Internet". Please think deeply about what I've written above my dear sisters in Islam. |

Great that you made a thread about this topic, sister
Pictures spread very easily on the internet nowadays, and they're very hard to remove from the internet again (I used to read a lot about this a few years back -some of the cases scares me quite a lot) And If you have a picture online that's without a veil. It's really hard to control who will see it and who will not see it, so it's important to keep in mind that someone who should probably not see it will see it.. -so you shouldn't post that picture online because of that But yeah, I agree with you! It's very very very very important to keep in mind that you don't know what might happen to the pictures you upload to the WWW. And it's so much more fun to get invited to someone's place to look at their photo album together -If they want of course |

I agree with the sister
But its only a 2d situational rather misleading snapshot, its not actually who you are and often NOT what you actually look like. Such is the wonder of Allahs Creation that NO one can imitate it in the 3D, no matter the techonology or the expertise of the artisan. Subhanallah. So dont worry if its already on, but dont increase the number of pictures online. Better to have NONE online ANYWHERE - so i agree with the sister husnaa |
