Default Position of non-alcoholic beer and bacon flavored crisps
A brother shockingly told me he would try these because they don't actually contain alcohol or bacon. They are just produced to taste like them. It's mubah! Do you really want to try something which tastes of the foods Allah has forbidden!

I use turkey bacon when ever I want to have a BLT sandwich.

I'm of the opinion that Allah (swt) was against the meat being from the animal; not the flavor.

As you are a revert it's much easier for you to "enjoy" the taste of pig because you've eaten it before? I've never so it would be a big challenge! If you were offered a cake which was flavored to taste of cow's urine would you eat it?

You have a good point sister.

(but the cow urine analogy is way over the top) LOL

Yes, to me, bacon, ham, pork chops, all taste great; and I actually miss eating them.

But, Allah (swt) says not to; so I don't.

Non Alcoholic beer and wine . Really don't see anything wrong with them .

They are available everywhere now. I think its good for businesses too , example restaurants have more choices of good quality non Alcoholic wine to serve instead of serving Haram. I can't understand why Airlines from muslim countries don't serve non Alcoholic beer . They prefer to serve hard booze and alcoholic beer.

The beverage was around since the beginning of time in different forms all over the world . Its the Alcohol , that's the devil in the detail.

Same here. Its not actual bacon, so its fine. In fact, the place where I get my BLT with turkey bacon is actually run by Arab Muslims.

So there's nothing wrong with non-alcoholic beer and bacon flavored crisps.
