he would have picked up a few pebbles from the ground too, be fair!! Hadrat Aisha said: "If the Prophet (PBUH) had lived now, he would have forbidden women to go to the mosque as Bani Israil did". Imam Ayni who translated and explained Bukhari said the following related to Hadrat Aishas above-mentioned sentence: "If Hadrat Aisha had seen the bidahs (innovations) and prohibited things the women of our time performed, she would have said something more severe. Furthermore, the innovations that women of that time performed may be only one out of one thousand of todays women." NB: I am not saying that women are prohibited from going to the mosque. I have quoted the above to illustrate Ayesha (RA)'s attitude to such issues. May Allah safeguard our communities and protect us from the loss of hayaa'. |

It is not my intention to start a discussion on a fiqhi issue. Some 'Ulama have allowed it if certain circumstances have been met. Refer to http://*************/en/ref/49898 (Islamqa) for further details inshaAllah. Also - http://www.central-mosque.com/fiqh/wompraymosq.htm |
