Default Does Allah test mankind with Evils, or are all tests by definition not evil
I want a deeper understanding on the issue of tests, Allah creating "evils" as tests, ..

Can we infer all tests are therefore by definition NOT evil ?

So when people say "Allah creates evils by cancers and wars and poverty and bombs", they are falsly attributing the evils of man to Allah, while any of these so called recognised day to day "evils" that are attributed to Allah, when they come in forms of test, are unknown to mankind (as in we dont know when Allah tests us)

Therefore if evils are man made (given VAST majority of pain and suffering in world can be easily traced to mankinds reluctance to do good), or tests from Allah that we dont know..then is it unfair to attribute the giver of VAST majority of evils to Allah ?

Allahs role in creating evil is therefore contextual to the "test" element which we dont know, and the ULTIMATE in charge of EVERYTHING in CREATION, rather than a giver of evil in the day to day living context above, as many people believe. So in this sense Allah does not give evil - Even the Evil created by mankind is absence of Good.

evil is not something that exists outside of human kind and the jinn, as everything else is in submission to Allah

- evil occurs when human kind or jinns go against their nature and knowingly disobey Allah,

anything that occurs through this knowing disobeying is evil, even if it appears to be pleasant or beneficial to the doer.

natural diseases, catastrophes etc are not evil as they happen by the will of Allah

- they are just unpleasant to personally experience, but not evil.

indeed Allah works in ways beyond what we can keep track of.

- we may hate a thing that is good for us or love a thing which is bad for us.

sometimes He may protect us with something that we find unpleasant, from something far far worse.

to understand this read the story of Khidr (raa) and Musa (as) in the Holy Qur'an.

The story of Musa (as) accompanying Khidr (raa) in the Quran is indeed glorious, perhaps you could share some personal reflections ?

Ok so Allah is not the giver of evil in any sense ?

Also darkness, is it true it wouldnt exist if there was light everywhere, and similarly, evil wouldnt exist if there was good everywhere, (as there is good everywhere, except for disbeliving mankind and jinn) ?

nope brother, go read it again and you will understand.

all evil is when human beings or jinn act in defiance of or disobedience to Allah with the limited free will that he has given them.

Also darkness, is it true it wouldnt exist if there was light everywhere,
yes physical darkness is just the absence of light

however spiritual darkness is something very different

also a blind man may be in a room full of light, but because his eyes don't work he cannot see any of it.

and similarly, evil wouldnt exist if there was good everywhere, (as there is good everywhere, except for disbeliving mankind and jinn) ?
Brother you are trying to over simplify things with this analogy and it could lead you into confusion.
