Default Shape of Things to Come in Afghanistan?
Is this the shape of things to come:
Men in Afghan police uniform shoot dead Nato soldier

A Nato soldier in eastern Afghanistan has been shot dead by three men in Afghan police uniform, officials say.

The men fled the area after Sunday's attack, Nato's International Security Assistance Force (Isaf) says.

It says the incident is now under investigation.

There have been a growing number of cases where Afghan soldiers have killed Nato colleagues. More than 20 foreign troops have been killed in "rogue shootings" this year.

Observers say this has eroded morale among foreign forces.

Isaf provided no further details about Sunday's attack and did not specify the nationality of the dead soldier.

However, a police source said the attack took place in Kandahar province, according to the AFP news agency.

Members of the Nato-led Isaf force are training their Afghan counterparts in preparation for a full handover of responsibility for security by 2014.

Revelations in February that US troops burned copies of the Koran at a base in Afghanistan - reportedly by accident - as well as the shooting of 16 Afghans by a US soldier in March have inflamed public opinion against the foreign forces. This phase is expected because you do not walk into a country and kill and then go out unscathed.

No hell will break loose - the US/NATO will quit with little bit more of casualties than they are used to.

And we still have no plan about future of Afghanistan.

Have we stopped caring?

I believe they have already thought on these lines as to how they will implement Shariah. Its just a matter of time that you will see things shaping up well for the Country.

At least I do care about what happens in Afghanistan. They are our brothers. These borders have no significance. Let the time come and inshaAllah you will see the Mukhlis people from Pakistan and the rest of the world to go and help the Mujahideen in implementing Shariah and planning better facilities for the masses.

lets just say i sometimes wonder how there could be so many brave muslims to fight the russians after seeing some of them. there are still lots of good people, but my generation isnt able to produce many people to replace the elders and it seems like the youth are just getting worse and worse. lack of knowledge is the problem, with a soft push in the right direction ive seen people (includes myself to lesser extent thanks to my parents strictness, may allah protect me from arrogance) completely change for the better.

It was the final messenger of Allah swt who said it ,,..

I used the word Pustun as that describes the majority of the people living in that land ..

Guess the satanists could not bribe enough and kill enough Afghans so the resistance continues

To push the things further let me try to make some necessary assessment of coming events.
Taliban should be stepping up action against the infidels - unless the infidels manage to extract some agreement with them. Now that everybody knows the US mood to get out the practical and pragmatic Europe will not be holier than the Pope and the possibility is that they would like to get out first and faster. So may be one does not have to wait for 2014 for the departure of the foreign forces. US/NATO is expected to do everything to leave Karzai in a fortified state, whatever that may mean, but once they leave Karzai Sahab should be making what is world over is called the hasty retreat. To some, perhaps French, Riviera.

That is the time for reconstruction of Afghanistan.
The over all plan has to come from Afghans themselves but being part of the Ummah we do have a lot of duty to our brethren who have paid extremely high price for being Muslims and have made phenomenal sacrifices and have held fort in face of most powerful military action in the history of mankind against a physically powerless people. They have given us hope and restored our faith in the Deen of Rasoolallah (SAW). It is our turn to show our gratitude.

The most leisurely Jewish people had put huge efforts in building of Israel. They shall give up, for prescribed period every summer, their comfort to work in Kibutz in Israel. Can't we do even that? Of course physical, material, monetary, moral as well as diplomatic support every thing counts and we must render whatever support we can muster.

I breached the topic with some engineers. Soon they started dreaming about the possibility of industrialization, not in the sense of development of Afghanistan but in the sense of business opportunities.
That is just as well but yours truly had the opposite thing in mind. It is not bad if you want to earn lots of money and leave your children in riches but man has not been created to get absorbed in this world. My further apologies that example of Paris Hilton is coming to my mind. Her daddy dear left lots of money for her. So what will she do after eating all she wants to eat? Well the answer is to reduce food intake for food means calories and this is a much wanted commodity in the poorer parts of the world but for people like her it is opposite of that. Conclusion she can not eat that much. (Let me offer some appreciation for her - she was much affected by the poverty when she came to India - she has a human heart also apart from huge inheritance. Invite her to Islam in the first opportunity - she might need more meters of cloth but she can afford.)

There is at least a trillion dollars worth of minerals in Afghanistan... this needs to be exploited by geologists/engineers and since they are natural resources, they belong to the people... this trillion dollars can build roads, hospitals, schools, feed the poor and look after the elderly and the widows. Taliban should make extracting such minerals their first priority after the implementation of sharia (which will establish peace and security)

According to BBC:

A gunman wearing an Afghan police uniform has killed three Nato staff in the south of the country, the coalition has said.

The gunman was injured and later detained, Nato said.

Officials did not confirm the nationalities of the killed service members, or any other details of the incident.

More than 20 foreign personnel have been killed in so-called rogue shootings this year.

Observers say this has eroded morale among foreign forces.

"An individual wearing an Afghan National Civil Order Police uniform turned his weapon against International Security Assistance Force service members in southern Afghanistan today, killing three service members," Isaf, Nato's force in the country, said in a statement on Sunday.

The conflicting party is unlikely to get the real purport of the things.
Here is our help for them.

The occupiers do realize that the incidents of local soldiers killing NATO troops have demoralized the latter.
Now this is precisely the strategy that the Afghans had.
Now that it has become a reality it has lost all of its charm for those who were planning otherwise.
That they will be welcomed by Afghan girls decked in flowers.
That was a silly image.
Afghanistan is a Muslim country and Muslims do not present their females folks to welcome other Muslims, let alone the detractors of Islam.
May be this was not the image that the US/NATO had in their mind.
But whatever image that had it can not possibly match with the reality now.

And this is only the beginning of the end.
There are many question that US/NATO has to answer.

Destruction of Iraq for supposedly present WMDs - including the death of a million children.
Accounting for the operation in Afghanistan - was it proportional to the threat to US interests?
Was the threat genuine - the conspiracy theories in that regard have become rather overwhelming.

And the quest of US war crimes.

And the original US crime - of unashamed support for Israel in the UN.
This might turn out to be the silliest extended action on behalf of US in the annals of history.
