Verily al-iman (the faith), at the time of fitan (turmoil) is in Al-shaam.

“If the people of Sham become corrupt, there is no good in you. There will always be a victorious group of my Ummah. They will not be harmed by those who betray them until the Hour is established.” Sunan at-Tirmidhi.
