Attacks on Tassawuff and traditional Islam from within!

Over the last few years and especially the post 9-11 era. There are increasing trends emerging within the ‘western, traditional Muslims’. By that I mean the people who see themselves as the torch bearers for traditional Islam in the west, as understood by our pious predecessors. That being, the people who practiced and taught the way of the awliyah and the saliheen. Tassauwff, or more commonly known as ‘Sufism’ in the west.

Article in the link is really badly written. The writer cant decontextualise todays circumstance, the Shaykhs circumstance, and thier audience, from the circumstances and audiences of those he is comparing them in the past.

He says about not criticising Western Clothing, while forgetting the Prophets shirt was "Roman" ?

You cant reduce people to a few statements done on TV to a particular audience, quoted out of context to the question posed, or topic the statements were made in.

This is a retarded approach to people.
