Default Misconceptions about Soul travel
Salam,
This is my first post here. I want to share some knowledge about soul travel in Islam. Many people especially muslims think soul travel is forbidden in Islam. My Question is on what basis do you claim? Some people say you will die and never will be able to return to your body. Some say its dangerous leaves your body open for demons to posses. Infact i am doing it from months and never get harmed by anything instead it strengthen my believe in Allah and soul.

And According to Quran:
"Allah takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought."(39:42)

So you observed what this verse of Quran saying? Its Allah who take your soul when you go to sleep every single night and returns it to your body safely. So whats all of this non sense " you will not return to your body or you will die" It means you are simply contradicting with Quran.

And further more Quran encourage us to give a thought on Sleep by saying:
"Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought."(39:42)

If Allah don,t want us to do these type of things then why he give us such abilities?

Some people argue its an occult or its a practice of witchcraft.I know these sort of things exists in witchcraft too. But why Quran encourage us to Observe and not only this Quran saying there are "signs" in Sleep. Not in actual method of doing soul travel but there are signs in sleep for sure.

And also in Tasawwuf during muraqaba one can experience such things commonly its only a type of muraqaba which you can perform in both ways by laying down or by sitting in relaxed position. And there are some muslims who experienced coming out of body automatically during muraqaba. So its just one of the practices of tasawwuf no harm will come by doing them.

So whenever you do Soul travel as a muslim you are in Protection of Allah nothing will harm you and will return safely to your body. Because the protection of your soul is in Allah`s power.

I want to share one of my experience of OBE:
Like one night i lay down on my bed comfortably after 15 to 20 min a wave of sleep paralysis come over me and my body was in sleep but i was awake i close my eyes and sit on my bed now i am out of body i walked outside of home there was like voice coming loud like someone reading Quran in loud voice coming from sky and there were carpets of gray color on road and people were sitting on them like they sit in mosque and there was night.
This is one of my experience to share nothing bad in it i think. I always read Ayat-ul- kursi before doing this or before sleeping.

By the way sometimes it happens automatically to many people when they get sleep paralysis and afterwards they fall asleep.
