![]() Im so sorry to hear this. May Allah grant your Father the highest place in Jannah, and give you and your family sabr. Please make plenty of dua' for his forgiveness, continuously. Any good deeds you do (fasting, charity etc...) send the reward to him and this will not affect the reward you will get. Ameen to all the duas. |

inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un ![]() Do make lots of Dua for your father. Also recite the Quran and ask Allah Ta'ala to give its sawab to him in his Grave. Similarly give sadaqa on his behalf. Preferably Sadaqa jariyya, to a Mosque, so He will get it reward as long as people pray in the mosque. ![]() May Allah make his grave a Jannah. ameen. |

Innalillaahi wa inna illaihi rajioon Some members of my family are planning a 'khatum', as far as i know these things are innovations and should not be done - am i right? Also, typically whne people come for apsoos (offer condolences) someone says to make dua and then we make dua for a minute or two - is this right? |
