Salaam all,
I ask of you all to please make dua for my father as he is critically ill in hospital and the doctors have told us the next 24-48 hours are crucial. I am deeply worried for him and my mother, but also of how i will provide for my family if the unthinkable happens. Also i have been making dua and doing dhikr but is there anything else i should do or any particular dua or sura to read from the holy Quran? Thank you with all my heart. JazakAllah |

![]() May Allah ![]() Alhamdulillah brother you are doing the right thing by making lots of dua and doing lots of dhikr. Also I probably don't need to say this to you but guard your daily 5 times salat without exception Insha'Allah. If, Allah-forbid, you miss one for some reason, consider it a 911 emergency and make that salat up as soon as possible. Pray tahajjud and then cry and make dua to Allah ![]() ![]() Brother here is some advice a sheikh gave to a brother who was recently in a similar situation (a family member was really sick): - Give sadaqa every single day no matter the amount, even if a penny. - Stay away from major and 'minor' sins. - Make your fardh salat on time, in Jamaat preferably, even if it takes extra effort to do so. - Make a lot of astaghfaar throughout the day. - Recite "Yaa Hayyu Yaa Qayyoom birahmatika astagheeth" abundantly. - Recite " La ilaha illa Anta Subhanaka inni kuntu mina z-zalimin" abundantly. Here are some relevant links: http://www.islam.tc/cgi-bin/askimam/...=6169&act=view http://seekersguidance.org/ans-blog/...ls-in-my-life/ Brother one of the key things also right now for you is to Insha'Allah be there for your mother and any other family members and be a source of strength and patience of them Insha'Allah. Submit yourself to Allah ![]() In regards to your worries about how you will provide for your family if the unthinkable happens, brother that's a legitimate worry and may Allah ![]() Also remember bro that the bottom line is that Qadr (fate/destiny) is from Allah swt, and it has all already been written, so we must accept what Allah swt has written for us as only and only He knows best. Your father, your mother, you, and your family will be in my duas Insha'Allah. ![]() ![]() |

Bismihi Ta'ala
May Allah Ta'ala grant ease on the difficulty you are experiencing and may Allah Ta'ala grant your father complete shifa, bless him with health, strength, aafiyah and long life. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu 'alayhi waSallam) said: ‘Give charity, and cure your sick ones through the giving of charity, for verily charity repels accidents and illnesses, and is a source of increase in your life spans and your good deeds.’ [Kanz al-`Ummal, 16113] |

inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un Brother I am saddened to hear of the loss of your father. I make dua may Allah swt grant him forgiveness and a resting place in paradise, ameen. Brother adopt patience and try to setup some sort of a routine of doing isaal e sawaab. Daily recite some portion of the Quran and convey the reward to his soul. Also, better you do something which will bring in daily flow as in do some act of charity which will continue to bring rewards with the intention of the reward going to his soul. Maybe you open a Quran/Alim madrasa or you help someone become hafiz or alim and convey the reward to the soul of your father. Do something people can benefit from and convey the reward of it to the soul of your father. |
