Here is the news from BBC
does someone know what really happened? because the writer has given the liberal version of it: 'mentally unstable' man 'alleged' to burning of Qur'an - the mob complained to police in accordance with the 'controversial' blasphemy laws of Pakistan - the police arrested him - mob got 'impatient' and asked them to hand him over - then they took him to the place where he burnt the Qur'an - and he was set upon. the liberals and secularists are going to have a field day : @ edit: they are but what is the truth? |

Mobs are rarely rational and clear headed, they are usually wild and capable of doing lots of wild damage. Such things should be rare, yet in Pakistan they appear to be very common, too much passion and little sober reflection...they ought to be educated that grabbing someone and killing them is not Justice...and it is not helpful to anyone to have that kind of justice.
exactly. |

really shameful. Muslim Scholars should condemn this inhuman and un-Islamic act.
This is not the first time I am hearing such news from Pakistan. Last time I read some Shia terrorists burnt a Sunni scholar to death in the presence of police officers and also the other painful incident where two brothers were beaten to death by some villagers again in the presence of police officers. |

another incident, this time in Egypt.
"Student murder stokes fears of Egypt's Islamists" http://news.yahoo.com/student-murder...214720270.html Kuffar media are using incidents like these to demonize Islam. But the brothers involved, if it's true that they stabbed the student, should know better that vigilantism is not allowed in Islam. Probably the brothers who are trying to prevent any mingling between males and females should also work towards making marriage to be much more easier (like organizing some mass marriage ceremony and subsidize the marriage). That way they can forward any dating couples to the nearest centre and help the couples to get married in a proper way. Allahu A'lam. |

Some groups do allow vigilantism under the idea of "enjoining good and forbidding evil". And we do find instances of such in Islamic history and these grouos take support from that to do it. So things are not so clear. Its a problem of ignorance obviously. Combined with lack of leadership.
Pakistani law and order looks like a joke for someone outside. |

These folks have no knowledge, this is barbaric. How can anyone burn another human being, and that too a mentally unstable one?
We Muslims should learn from the character and actions of RasulAllah (saw), just reminds me of the story where a Baddu came to Masjid-e-Nabwi and started urinating, when Sahabah (raa) wanted to stop that person, RasulAllah (saw) stopped them and let that Baddu finish. After that he (saw) told him about Masjid and how Muslims respects this place of worship, and then he (saw) himself started cleaning up the Masjid-e-Nabwi. What has happened to Muslims? Why have we become so voilent - and why against fellow brothers? Where is the tolerance (Sabr) that Allah (swt) want us all to have? No wonder why we have such Zalim/opressors as our leaders! May Allah (swt) have mercy on our condition and take us out of the hole that we have put ourself in. |

let me point out some 'facts':
- it is not clear whether the person was mentally unstable. - it is also not clear whether he was tortured. - it is also not clear whether the police entered the case or refused to do so. there are logical flaws in the reports: - why would the local residents complain about the blasphemy if the man is mentally unstable?it is obvious from someone's outlook if he is mentally unstable. also was he an outsider or a resident of the area? if he was a resident there was no way anyone could not have known he was mentally unstable. - why would a group of 'vigilantes' fully capable of burning the man, first file repeated complaints, then take him to police office, then ask them to release him and then burn him? this is why i asked: does anyone know what really happened?( just a point:i share the opinion of mufti naeem on this; which is against vigilante justice.) let us not jump to conclusions before knowing the facts please. esp those living outside of pakistan. |
