I'm surprised harun Yahya didn't just come out & say the mehdi will speak Turkish?
He did claim to be the mehdi at one stage. One thing I can't understand is how do you fully understand Islam without an excellent understanding of Arabic? I have been told many deviant things from Turkish people like: - the Quran in Turkish is the same as Quran in Arabic - the best Arabic writing/calligraphy/poems etc comes from turkey - upon questioning in the grave when asked what is your religion alot of Turks will reply Turkish Muslim, not just Muslim? - RIBA is halal because an sheikh in turkey said so? - a close Turkish freinds family freind cried when she found out profit Mohamad (saws) was Arab and not Turkish.... Lol I could post more but don't want to offend anyone.. P.S my wife is Turkish, so no I don't have a racist issue with Turks but have found alot are very racist towards other cultures especially Arabs. |

Does anyone have the Arabic text of the extract from Harun Yahya's book that they can share: This proves that he is 'Arab and Ahl Bayt The Prophet (PBUH and HF) said: "al-Mahdi is one of us, the members of the household (Ahlul-Bayt)." Reference: Sunan Ibn Majah, v2, Tradition #4085 Hadhrat Umme Salmah (R.A.) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, " After the death of a Ruler there will be some dispute between the people. At that time a citizen of Madina will flee (from Madinah) and go to Makkah. While in Makkah, certain people will approach him between Hajrul Aswad and Maqaame Ibraheem, and forcefully pledge their allegiance to him. |

A couple years back, I was surprised when my Arabic teacher, who is a hardcore Salafi, would always say Imam 'Ali ('alayhi al-salam), but if you look at the books of early scholars, you'll see that it is not uncommon at all for them to say 'alayhi al-salam after the names of Ahl al-Bayt. Open up al-Maktabah al-Shamilah, go to the search feature, go to the "kutub al-mutun" section, select all the books, and search for "علي عليه السلام." You will be surprised at how many muhaddithin say عليه السلام after mentioning his name. Not sure why it has come to be a distinguish feature of the shi'as in our time... |

It has been mentioned in the Hadith that Imam Mahdi alayhissalaam will speak with a stutter. He will speak with a slight stutter and occasionally this stutter will frustrate him causing him to hit his hand upon his thigh. I think this was mean but somehow lost in translation. He is 'Arab so will speak Arabic well. And Ahmad, Nu'aym ibn Hammad, al-Hakim and Abu Nu'aym narrated from Thawban [radhiyallahu 'anhu] that he said: "The Messenger of Allah [sallallahu 'alayhi wa-sallam] said: "When you see the black banners have come forward from Khurasan, then go to them even if you have to crawl over ice, for among them is Allah's khalifah, the Mahdi." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoM9wioPDDQ |

There is no need to take Ibn Arabi seriously either. He has said stuff which has harmed the foundations of Islam and this one ie "Imam Mehdi does not speak Arabic well" is of trivial importance when compared with the other deviations he tried to induct into Islam. He has been declared a disbeliever by Shaykh ul Islam Ibn Taymiyyah ra , Imam Al Dhahabi , Imam Ibn Kathir , Imam Ibn Rajjab al Hanbali and many other scholars. |

What is authentically reported is that the earth will be filled with tyranny and oppression before his appearance. And he shall lead an army later on in his Caliphate with black flags from Khurasan, and he will receive his Bay`ah between al-Rukn and al-Maqaam (Makkah). So you can't really miss him, don't worry. As for the condition of Muslims, without much effort I'll tell you that the condition of the Muslims before the Mahdi will be bad, there are many narrations such as "This religion has begun as a stranger and it will return to being a stranger". |
