Salam

I apologize in advance for offending people withj my post as i most probably will.

why do the Indian deobandies appear to reject the taliban (Afghan) while the Pakistani ones support them?

why all this living in the past when it comes to describing all the great achievements of Shaikhul Hind and his jihad, or the jihad of Maulana Qasim Nanutwi against the british and then in the same breath condemning the taliban? if the taliban are not on the deobandi approach when it comes to jihad against the americans then were maulana Qasim Nanutwi and Haji Imdadullah?

why does it seem like the indian "deobandies" are monopolizing the legacy of the akabireen and trying to promote a deobandism which explicitly requires condemning mujahideen as terrorists. I'm making this observation after hearing more than one speech by different Indian deobandies. why can't they adopt a more balanced approach like that of Dr. Zakir Naik on the matter?!?!?
because they have more insight foresight wisdom and knowledge

in the talk the molana answers youre question, listen to it a few times inshallah, answers to many questions and misunderstandings are there

exactly my thoughts as i watched that video

people are saying the indian ulemah have a better point of view...well not really i guess the people in Pakistan and Afghanistan know the real situation of their area...as an outsider what is fed to the public is a different story

They are not really rejecting the Taliban (from the little I listened to). They just use ambiguous phrases, etc in which no actual condemnation of the Taliban is mentioned but it answers the question (sort of) and keeps the police/media off their backs, much in the same way other Shaykhs like Hamza Yusuf use language too. Whether this is wise or not is a different question but a lot of ulemah seem to do it.

you cant blame deo's for using hikmah, what benefit will it do if their dar ul ulooms were closed down on terrorism charges and barelwis were left to pick up the pieces? Right now we are in a very difficult position and have tough choices to make unfortunately

at 19 minutes

20.00..about taliban

23.00..answer..

condemnation of terrorism

excellent defense

28.00 tabligh..islah and dawah

30.00..interesting fact to be noted

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YNCQ...eature=related

excellent interview

inshallah later ill post notes
MOSQUE Is not just for teaching or learning
but to learn independence from others and how to live as a muslim

reasons for deobands success...only for allah..ikhlaas
separation from wealth and world
refusal of donations from rich or influential people
donations from general/simple people so they feel its their own..connection of heart

russia and andalus both had islamic states ,they fell because their efforts were diverted from holding/propogating islam to getting involved in politics
thats why we now only spend effort in islamic propogation and teaching..

we stay on our own 100% islam ..in peace with others..
others can do/follow whom they wish..we to ours others to theirs..

if someone shares our label..it doesnt mean they are following our teachings..our teachings are legal and of peace

we ourselves distanced ourselves from all terrorism in 2008..large conference..with fatwa.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LW_AoEUwFZA

we try to influence people with our good words to remain law abiding, we have no other way

there is difference between muslim ruler and islamic rule

our greatest need is to keep our own deen.priority is on teaching and learning
and tabligh..self rectification and propogation

we prepare students about talking with hindus, jews, shias, brelvis etc and send people to discuss with others

we dont just talk about salah, but how to live as a good muslim, good character, etc as a good law abiding citizen

we cannot tell anyone to convert to islam.. by law,we can only convey islam.

we have modern education
islamic education

and people who specialize in different departments and fields

even a doctor needs time and various tests to be done before he gives a result and cure
same ..a mufti needs time and other support to give a fatwa or help

we are not concerned about politics or money
just deen and allahs help
and we remain hopeful
