Russia bans biography of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and his hadiths
According to media reports, the KGB banned important Islamic books as “extremist literature” in Russia, in particular: - Biography of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) – “Biography of the Prophet Muhammad” by Ibn Hisham and “Life of the Prophet” by Safi al-Rahman al-Mubarakfuri. - The booklet “Muslim Fortress. From the Words of Remembrance of Allah, Found in the Quran and the Sunnah”. - Collection of Hadiths “Gardens of the Righteous” and “40 Hadith of Imam al-Nawawi”, ”Stories of the Prophets from Adam to Muhammad. From the Words of Ibn Kathir”, and more than 60 other books. The ban on Islamic books was proclaimed by Lenin’s District Court in the South Uralian city of Orenburg during a secret meeting on March 21, but became public only now. The ban covers all Russia. |

Ironic the Russians would ban a book from the public, that their greatest writer first introduced to the public;
Tolstoy introduced the narrations of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to Russian people intentionally. In anyhow, Communism or its low level Socialism, which were faultyfrom their foundation, did not attract him and he chose to live as a Muslim instead of taking advantage from the priviligies in the peak of his career. http://www.scribd.com/doc/17363464/T...-Muhammad-Pbuh “Muhammad has always been standing higher than the Christianity. He does not consider god as a human being and never makes himself equal to God. Muslims worship nothing except God and Muhammad is his Messenger. There is no any mystery and secret in it.” - Tolstoy |

As-salamu 'alaikum wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh
I think people need to calm down. I posted the following on another forum: "This piece of news can only be found on the following site: http://www.kavkazcenter.com/eng/cont...26/16406.shtml This site is a joke. Honestly. It says the following about my home country, Finland, and Russia: "According to Helsinki newspaper Helsingin Sanomat, the Russian military plans for the capture of Helsinki and its suburbs are drawn on the maps. All the targets are divided into three categories: military facilities, industrial plants and government buildings." http://www.kavkazcenter.com/eng/cont...23/16386.shtml The site has a link to the Finnish newspaper. Well guess what the Finnish newspaper says? It speaks of the Soviet Union. It also speaks in the past tense while this kazkavcenter.com speaks in the present tense and it speaks of Russia as if Russia currently has plans for the invasion of Finland. What a bunch of nonsense. If Russia really has banned or bans the biography of the Prophet (pbuh), it would be mainstream news." Another article was brought up and it is found in the following link: http://rt.com/politics/muslim-extrem...gious-ban-095/ My commentary on the second link is the following: "Let's look at the article. It says the following: "a ruling made earlier by a district court in Orenburg " and "the prosecutor and the judge made the decision “behind-the-scenes”: To put this in context, it means that at the most that a judge and prosecutor think that the books should be banned. It does not mean that Russia has banned the books or that the band has been put into practice." To get your attention back to the first article, it says the following: "According to media reports, the KGB banned important Islamic books as “extremist literature” in Russia". The KGB has not existed since the fall of the Soviet Union. |
