Assalmu alaykum,

Does anyone have the chanin of Sheikh Yusuf Motala going all the way back to the prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

I don't have it at hand but it can be worked out if one knows his teachers Isnad, who was Shaykh al Hadith Muhammad Zakariyya Kandhalawi (rahimahullah) - whose fame is well known in the Ummah.

Wassalam

Considering what's been posted; the chain would stop at #41, where Shaikh Yusuf Motala (db) would be #42, as he is the khalifa of Shaykh-ul Hadith Maulana Zakariyya Kandhalwi (ra).

I was about to post that link; good thing you beat me to it, but what got me curious is the fact that you say that you are a sister, but then call yourself "Hafiz" (should be Hafiza for a female) and under locations you say: "Wherever HE chooses." Please do clarify if you care.

Shukran

I am bay'at to and a student of Hazrat. Males would usually be able to contact him in person. The best place would be at Darul Uloom on Thursday evening after the Durood Shareef majlis. Sisters can write to Darul Uloom and he would get any mail addresssed to him.

JazakAllah Khayr. Would it be possible to take bai'ah with sheikh Yusuf Motala sahib if one can only speak, read and write in English? I want to take bai'ah with sheikh but I don't understand urdu.

Would it be ok to send sheikh a letter in English?

Wasalaam
