Default wudu
salaam alaykum

the other day i was about to pray Dhuhr namaz, so i went to do my wudu and i had to do my wudu three times as i kept releasing wind after i had done wudu the first and second time.. a thought then came to my mind in regards to how releasing wind actually breaks wudu?

any answers will be appreciated!

Jazaak Allah!

Our Prophet said, “A person must make wudu (ablution) if he hears a sound or perceives a smell of passing wind (gas).” (Muslim, Hayd 26; Nasai, Taharah: 115) in a hadith, stating that passing wind invalidates wudu.

"Allah does not accept the prayer of a person who has released gas until he makes a new ablution." A person from Hadhramaut asked Abu Hurairah, "What does releasing gas mean?" He answered, "Wind with or without sound." (Bukhari and Muslim)
