As salamu alaykum wr wb,
Just to share, for brothers and sisters who are interested. Shafiifiqh.com will be having a Ramadan class on the fiqh of fasting online. The course will be going over the Matn of Abu Shuja’ with the commentary of Kifayat Al-Akhyar of Taqiyud-Din Al-Hisni. The class will be designed for beginners in fiqh [and in English] – with extra explanation as well. We estimate that each class will last about 2 hours. At the end of each class there will be a Q&A session for the students as well. The classes will be held on every Saturday of Ramadan at 4:30 pm Egyptian time [+2 GMT]. If anyone is interested or has any questions feel free to contact Shafiifiqh.com. JazakAllah khayran. |

Sounds great but what does figh mean? I assume its day before fasting? Fiqh of Fasting means, the 'laws of Fasting'. Or in other words proper methodology of Fasting according to the Quran and Sunnah. |
