Assalaamu 'alaykum warahmatullahi wabaraakaatuh,

Does anybody know of any Islamic Bookshops in Dubai?

I'm hoping to buy Safawaat al-Tafaasir by Shaykh Saabuni and Hashiyat al-Jamal ala al-Jalalayn..

Would appreciate any help, jazaakumullahu khayr.

walaikum Assalam,

http://www.islamicbookonline.com/pages/about_us.html

never ordered from them, because shipping was too high, so I'm not sure if it is authentic.

There are plenty of book shops in the UAE. Personally, I get many Arabic books from relatives in Abu Dhabi, from Dar al-Faqih. It's ridiculous to suggest that there are no books there, because people "suffer from readingphobia syndrome"! Generalisation much! [Learn how to spell, Nomadic, and have some respect for the shi'aar of our Din, re: the niqab]

Yes it is a generalisation but a view is formed based on wide spread experience. There was an article where average reading habbit is stated to be 15 minutes in a month here in UAE.
Why are you brinig niqab into this! You call it niqab, I call it something different.

bro Nomadic but let me say 1 thing I think most emiratis read more quraan than the average person in the ummah. At least give them credit where it's due.

brother nomadic I figured out long time ago who you are. Next time inshallah I bump into you we will have a conversation inshallah. I remember we once had a discussion at markaz at night time once. I don't think you will remember. We discussed abu aaliya, solo sikandar and hadra, mufti sadrudeen and not just studying darse e nizami etc. You were a calm person when we met....then what happened????

There's a KunoKuniya or sumthin and it has an Islamic/religion section.

Assalaamu 'alaykum warahmatullahi wabaraakaatuh,

Would appreciate any help, jazaakumullahu khayr.
wa Alaikum Assalam wa Rahmatullah

all the Islamic bookshops that I ever saw in Emirates were relatively small, smaller than a lot you get in the UK.

Iv'e heard of a big one in Mina, but I haven't been to it, you could ask people for directions to it if you were in that vicinity?

If they can't help you , maybe its best to try and order them through a bookshop (Islamic or otherwise), because even if they don't have a large stock their supplier may have the works that you are looking for or be able to get them

you could try going into one of the bigger Magrudy's because they sell some Islamic books, and ask them if they will order books that they don't have in stock?

or you could try contacting these?

or looking in here for bookshops to contact...
