Default People asking Fatwas to practicing Muslims
We might have come across few common Muslim people, when they find any practising Muslim - they tend to ask qquestions like -
1. Is girlfriend haram?
2. Is Music permitted?
3. IS working in Bank permitted?

These people dont ask an Alim as he ll straightly tell no on their face. I've come across this situation, where people ask complex questions to me.

Insha Allah, we need to be prepared to answer those people in a tricky way;

For eg : IF they ask Music is Haram, we need to ask them a question "If I tell Yes Music is Haram, will you stop doing that today?"

I think a better approach would be to try to connect them to 'Ulamas.
If the awwam connect to the Ulama, they will continuously benefit from them.

Wallaahu A'lam.

As-salamu 'alaikum wa rahmatu Allahi wa barakatuh

Are you sure that your assessement is correct? It might be that they ask you because they think you are knowledgable about what the scholars say and have scholarly resources, so that's why they ask you.

when you have teens around you in jamaat who dont know faraidh of ghusl even.you know things are bad

even had a lad who thought prophet s.a.w. was born in iraq.

we just try to be the bridge to the ulema and the works of deen

thats why sometimes we just have to let people walk all over us...
thats the job of the bridge

and its only for allah to judge

and the ulema and shaykhs to try to guide
because guidance only lies with allah
