* Imam Ibn Khuzaima said:
“Know that the extent of your life is limited and each breath is short. Every breath shortens your life. Your whole life is brief and what remains of it is brief. Every part of your life is a precious gem that cannot be replaced. This life is indeed brief and eternal life is in only two outcomes: everlasting bliss or unending torment…” (Ibn Qudama, al-Wasiyya, p.33 (Arabic) and p.24 (English, trans. A. Bewley, London: Turath Publications, 2008) |

'Abdullah bin 'Umar said, "Allah's Apostle took hold of my shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler."
The sub-narrator added: Ibn 'Umar used to say, "If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death." (Volume 8, Book 76, Number 425 :Narrated by Mujahid) |

Assalam alaykum, --"what if these words are my last?"-- Remembering these words leads to not requiring any rules on SF. "what if these words are my last?" should be our Guiding Principle. And , Insh"allah, remember also when in Salaah, that this Salaah could be my last. The beauty of this Thread should translate into the Beauty of SF. Insh'Allah Brotherly yours farook |

![]() Haven't posted for a long time, but would like to take the opportunity to add my dua for all my SF brothers and sisters who patiently tried to correct all the misinformation I so frequently received - may your patience and kindness be rewarded abundantly and may Allah forgive all your sins - and mine - and protect us all from the punishment of the grave. To continue in this opportunistic vein - I would like to please request a dua from whoever reads this. Please pray that BEFORE I die, Allah will allow me the opportunity and environment to correct all my incorrectly acquired knowledge, and that He will provide me with the wisdom to discern between true and false knowledge, and that He will give me the power to act on the correct knowledge. One of my greatest current fears is that I will die in a state of incorrect belief. ![]() |

The Prophet SAW said, "If you knew what I knew, you would laugh less and cry more." “Everyone should remember death for 15 minutes at least once every week. The easiest method is to set a time for yourself, e.g. every Thursday after dhikr. Death is the destroyer of (unlawful and excessive) desires, so keep on remembering it. Ask yourself: If I were to die right now, would I be able to show my face to Allah? In which form would Munkar and Nakeer come to me? Would I be given a place in the shade of Allah’s throne on the Day of Judgement or not?’ http://shaykh.wordpress.com/2010/12/...stroyer-death/ If Im Not Mistaken: The Respected Shaykh Muhammad Saleem Dhorats Father Rahmatullahi Alayh Used To Say " If You Pray And Send Reward For The Deceased After Their Demise, Allah Will Create The Means For Reward Being Sent To You After Your Demise.
