Default Karachi: Jamia'h Abu Bakr, Binori, Binoria, Ibn Abbas - Students Comparrison
Assalaamu alaikum,

How do the students of Binori, Binoria, Ibn Abbas and Jamia Abu Bakr compare with each other? I nkow each student is diffrent but am after a general guide.

I'm especially after an UNBIASED and FAIR comparrison of Jamia Abu Bakr students compared to the others. Their grasp of Arabic, general knowledge, level of Adab, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: I'm not trying to start another "Aqeedah war" thread as many of these already exist.

Also this is not intended to be disrepectful towards anybody linked to anyone of these institutes I would just like to get a general idea.

Abdullah ibn Abbas is known for its arabic. Any student who talks in any other language immediatly gets kicked out. It is more leaned towards the dawat of tabligh.
Binori town is what i would call a family madrassa, once your in everyone gets along very nicely and there is this feeling of awe there. Education is an all rounder.
Jamia tu Rasheed is probably the best for its initial years, having max 20 per class and using state of the art medium of teaching. (That does not mean that initial years any where else is not good rather that Jamia tu rasheed is outstanding in its position). Those wishing to have worldly knowledge should go there. They have a unique kulya tu shariah program (strictly for uni grad. with 80% over in final exams) which is very intense. Its building is state of the art.
Darul uloom is very academic and it has every thing that you would need under the planet in there, so once your in then no need to go out. It is gigantic in size and also state of the art in its study areas and buildings.
For final years Binori town, Darul Uloom, Ahsan ul uloom, Jamia farooqia and others are good becuase of its very experienced and pious ulamas.
For girls Ahsanululoom becuase they have the full eight years and ifta course (As Mufti Zarwali Khan db says it is the "wahid" madrassa that does that).

Ps.Although I am not making this stuff up on the top of my head I would welcome anyone to correct me.

brother i require some more details regarding what you posted.

- what do you mean by 'Binori town is a family madrassa', and 'Education is an all rounder'

- in what way is Jamia tur Rasheed 'probably the best for its initial years', and in what way is their teaching 'state of the art'?
and you say 'Those wishing to have worldly knowledge should go there'. why is that?

- 'For final years Binori town, Darul Uloom, Ahsan ul uloom, Jamia farooqia and others are good becuase of its very experienced and pious ulamas'
which ulama in paticular do you refer to at Binori town and Jamia farooqia?

thanks for your help brother.

I dont know too much to be honest but they are very welcoming towards foriegn students amd you will Inshallah be very easy to get a space there. Also it is quite nice in building. And i heard someone mentioning very good things about there takasus fil hadeeth course. To top it up Mufti Naeem Sahib is a very kind Teacher and has value for the students.

- what do you mean by 'Binori town is a family madrassa', and 'Education is an all rounder' Becuase every thing is rammed up the students know each other quite well and the teachers outside of class have concern for their pupils. The education is an all rounder part means that they dont just concentrate on one thing (for example just nahw and sarf or just fiqh or just arabic or just tablig and so on) rather they put empasis on everything.
- in what way is Jamia tur Rasheed 'probably the best for its initial years', and in what way is their teaching 'state of the art'?
and you say 'Those wishing to have worldly knowledge should go there'. why is that? becuase they have only 20 students per class (each with their own desks) and their first three four years are known throughout pakistan to be excellent. They also have a lot of worldly course on the side such as it, journalism, geography and so on.
- 'For final years Binori town, Darul Uloom, Ahsan ul uloom, Jamia farooqia and others are good becuase of its very experienced and pious ulamas'
which ulama in paticular do you refer to at Binori town and Jamia farooqia? Mufti Taqi usmani db
Mufti rafi Usmani db
Maulana Abdur Rauf Sakarvi db
Dr.Abdur Razzaq Sikander Db
Mufti Zarwali Khan db
Moulana Anwar Badakhshani db
Moulana Fadle Muhammad db
and many others (I am sure someone has a much bigger list)
By the way Jamia tur Rashid has Mufti Abu Lubaba shah Mansoor db who has written many books and is an editor in their momin newspaper magazine.
Just to say about Jamia Binoria- If you know Moulana Ilyas Ghuman then he graduated from there.

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmatULLAHI wa barakatuHU wa maghfiratuHU,
I have done 2 years of Dars-e-Nizami from a madrassah which offers 4 years girls' course. If I join ahsanululoom inshaAllah, will I have to start all over again or do they have any system to accomodate students like me, in their 8 years program?

Salam

jamia farooqia's website http://www.farooqia.com/

i would like to hear more about Jamiaturrashid

I looked at their website but have more questions:

1. must you know urdu to enrol in the kulyatusharia program (4 years post undergrad or graduate degree?), it says it is an arabic program, although you still have to learn arabic in the first two years, i guess my question is would english suffice?

2. are foreign students permitted into the kulyatushariah?

after looking at their program it seems very inviting especially because everyone i the 4 year program is older and around my age when i graduate (undergrad). also this means the students will be mature and at a more advanced level (in terms of comprehension) than in a madrassa where everyone old or young (with no regard to their level of education) is placed in the same classroom and must thus progress at the same rate.

(i may contact them by e-mail if no one here knows)

I think actually english medium is used but you may have to check that up. Do you know any urdu at all?

2. are foreign students permitted into the kulyatushariah? Are you a pakistani? if so then do you have a nadra card? If not then make it but if you are not a pakistani then you will have to obtain a student visa.

after looking at their program it seems very inviting especially because everyone i the 4 year program is older and around my age when i graduate (undergrad). also this means the students will be mature and at a more advanced level (in terms of comprehension) than in a madrassa where everyone old or young (with no regard to their level of education) is placed in the same classroom and must thus progress at the same rate. This course is for uni graduates and it is very intense. You will have a longer year and less holidays and will have to put a lot of work in. But for uni grads that is quite ideal.
(i may contact them by e-mail if no one here knows) that is the best thing to do snd any info you find put it on here.

well if your sarf and nawh is good then enroll into the second year and if your hidaytunawh is good then maybe you can make it in the third year. What usually happens is that you are given a test for the year that you apply then if you pass you get in. So do your research and choose the correct year. Also if someone can find out if they do accomadation for girls or not?

if you dont know urdu then it would be worth stating from year one. youll then have enough time to learn urdu and make your first year solid at the same time.

lol but i plan to. every student i meet i get opinions on these sort of subjects becuase this is my hobby. it also is the best way to get information- you will never know how a madrassa is like untill you experience it. Then the next best thing is to ask those who have experienced it.
Maybe we should open a thread and every bro and sis should write their experiences and reviews of various madaaris and institutes?

Yes Jamia binori is a different madrassa and it is run by Mufti Naeem Sahib Db(previously an ustaadh at binori town). Binori town is run by Dr.Abdur Razzaq Sikandar Sahib Db and Moulana Sulayman Binori Sahib Db is the vice-principal.
