The purpose of this thread is to highlight problems which are unique to Muslims (living as minority) in Non-Muslim lands. The ultimate solution is H-I-J-R-A-H but until then the needs of Muslims need to be accommodated in a Shariah compliant manner.

Here is a list of issues and once we have a list we can discuss possible solutions, later. Most of the issues apply to all Muslims regardless of them being Sufees, Salafees, Deobandees, Barelwees etc.

Shura: A cross platform board (comprising of representatives from Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaah) from which an Ameer is chosen on a fixed basis and the issues of Muslims are raised and discussed even on a National or much smaller (regional or city level).
Islamic Schools: Quality run and managed Islamic Schools catering for Islamic and Secular needs of Muslim children
Mosques: Run in a Shariah compliant Sunnah manner with accommodation and facilities for Muslimahs and not allowed to become cultural (or entertainment centers).
Islamic Schools: Quality run and managed Islamic Schools catering for Islamic and Secular needs of Muslim children
Sectarianism: A coherent strategy and a set of guidelines from cross platform board (comprising of representatives from Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaah) on how to deal with Sufi/Salafi/Deobandi/Barelwee differences. In the near future there will be no end to discussions and debates but how can be “agree to disagree” and work together because bickering and disagreements are actually holding our communities back!
Self-Policing: A coherent strategy and a set of guidelines from cross platform board (comprising of representatives from Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaah) on how to deal with Mavericks how are bent on protraying a false image of Islam.
Islamic dates & Paryer Times: A coherent strategy and a set of guidelines from cross platform board (comprising of representatives from Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaah) on how to start/end Islamic months e.g. Ramadhan and determine prayertimes etc.
Fiqh/Ijtehaad: A cross platform board (comprising of ULAMAH from Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaah) to discuss Fiqh issues pertaining to Muslims in the West and the Academic discussions published on a regular basis.
Media outlet: A cross platform board (comprising of ULAMAH & EXPERTS from Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaah) to discuss on going issues and issue official press releases etc.
Halal Food: A cross platform board (comprising of representatives from Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaah) agreeing on principles of “Halal meat and other products” and then working on certification and enforcement of these policies on products across the board.
Islamic Shariah Council: A cross platform board (comprising of representatives from Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaah) agreeing on principles of marriage, divorce (including Khul & Faskh), wealth distribution and providing Islamic solutions within the legal framework of the country
Matimonial Services: Providing assistance to single Muslims.
Marriage Counselling/Arbitration: Western Government are increasingly preferring and recommending marriage counselling so A cross platform board (comprising of representatives from Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaah) is needed to issue and regularly review Islamic guidelines on financial responsibilities, child custody etc
Single Parents: We need to tackle and handle a huge amount of boys and girls in our communities who are growing up (without a father-figure) or mother and not getting correct and appropriate exposure to Islamic upbringing.
Shariah compliant Family Entertainment: I use entertainment in a loose sense, this means opportunities for families in a segregated (non-mixed) environment free from Music, free-mixing, Nasheed concerts and other Fahishah
Shariah compliant Economic/Investment system: A cross platform board (comprising of representatives from Ahlus-Sunnah Wal-Jamaah) to issue guidelines for a system which covers all aspects of Commerce, trade and investment and a system for collection and distribution of Zakaat & other Sadaqaat.
