Brother,

A person of your stature (whom Allah (SWT)) has blessed with a lot) shouldn’t think in this manner. Sure forums are a waste of time for many but it’s also an island (of safety and security) for many hundreds who come here (on SF) and look for inspiration and interaction at least online so we need to look at the bigger picture.

If SF gets shut down, would it make a difference for me and you? No!
Would it make a real and tangle difference for many others? ASOLUTELY.

For the sake of Ummah of Sayyidina Rasul-ullah you MUST banish these thoughts and continue to put your head down and SERVE and do so with distinction.

Hazrat you spoke what is in my heart. For people like me who have no proper access to shaykhs/ulema, neither pious company, surrounded by fitna (from where I come if a person prays five times a day he is considered pious), for people like me this forum is a blessing.

never read it...i have heard little explanations of certain poems/stories in lectures by scholars

i have read other poems of mawlana rumi RA here and there...i don't really get a lot of them in their English translation and probably would never think of it like the ulemah explain it

I have clicked on option #1 as there was no other option near to my position. I read a portion of mathnavi in Persian during my early teen days. I have skimmed through the rest of mathnavi off and on.

Have you actually completed it cover to cover or just sat in a few Dars?

Kaleed e Mathnavi is a good book, maybe we can ask one of the khulafah from Hakeem Akhtar sahabs silsilah to do some tashreeh of some ashaar here so we can understand at some level.

The Urdu in Kaleed e Mathnavi is very high level though its difficult to understand much of it.
