as salaamu alaikum,

I really appreciate all the advice. Thank you to everyone who has helped.

I would still like to request sisters who have gone through a divorce with children to please please contact me, i am pretty desperately in need of some moral support right and advice on how to cope. Talking to someone who has gone through this will be a massive help so please can someone get in touch with me? [clip]

Mediation can help you reach agreement over many difficult issues when you divorcing. As much as you hear about the long protracted and unpleasant divorce that many people claim that everybody has to go through, it does not have to be the case.

Salaam all

I've been married for 3 years and have been having problems since the first year of marraige ,
I've tried everything and nothing worked, I tried giving this marraige lots of chances but, it all went down ththe drain and left me highly disappointed
At last I've taken the decision of divorce ...
I live in Europe and had called my husband over on spouse visa.
Now he's only been here 2 years and has refused to divorce me because he says it will affect his stay here
He has really stooped low this time and says he won't divorce me till another year because once he's living hhere for 3 years he can apply for a nationality ... I feel he had initially just used me to come over here.
I want to know if any of you can help me out with this regarding a woman's right in Islam ...
Is there no other way I can get a divorce from him?
Thank you all
In advance
