My very first post and I need some urgent help.

My friend has been roaming around the whole Duniya to get his query solved but unable find a scholar of Deen.

His Ummijaan has bought a pregnant cow for sacrificing during Eid-Al Adha but is now worried whether it will be permissible to sacrifice a pregnant cow?
What is the ruling in this regard?

Ulema sahebs on this forum please come forward as he needs to hand the cow to the original owner if impermissible.

• It is permissible to sacrifice a pregnant animal. However if the pregnancy is in an advanced stage then qurbani of such an animal will be makrooh.

I think most scholars agree that sacrificing a pregnant animal is allowed, but the Shaafi school of thought rules it out.
