Also being blunt and straight forward in your attitude will help. The time we die has already been decreed, be it in a plane, car or bed. Worrying doesn't change anything. Also turn this fear into Taqwa by thanking Allah for each second of our life He protects us from calamity.

Last year they stopped me and ASKED FOR RELIGION ETC on the way back in Stansted Airport, I was wearing three quarters and T-shirt. Two months later I was stopped in Dubai International Airport for 15 HOURS! And on the way back in Heathrow I was wearing jubba, I was mentally prepared they will stop me, but... they didn't! Lol

But seriously flying is actually the most secure method of travelling.

Now worry brother, just put on ur seat belt tightly, have an MP3 player with u for listening Quran or naat something like that or you may ask for some NEWS paper too. And yea ... have a camera too for some snaps.
