Default Buying a house near a graveyard?
Hope everybody is doing well inshaAllah.

We have been looking for a house for sometime now but it's really hard to find one near the masjid, in a good area and in our budget. Since we will be paying in cash inshaAllah, our budget is quite low and the houses we have seen so far that fit our budget are usually in a bad neighborhood.

We just saw a beautiful, big house right across the road from a christian cemetary and it is priced much.. much below market value. It's just perfect, just five minutes from the masjid, wonderful neighborhood (on this side of the road) and a stunning home. We are told that the price is so low because of the graveyard and nobody wants to buy it.

I and my husband don't have any issues with being so close to a cemetary but I was wondering what Islam has to say about it? What about jins?

Well, it's not like the house is inside the graveyard. Don't worry about jinnis.

Maybe you should get a second opinion from someone who is familiar with the history of the house.Sometimes when the price is too low for a house it could mean some kind of issue with the house.Try to find out how long past resident have stayed in the house.Do the house have a reputation for being haunted?Do your homework.

^^^ for your reply. We did some research and asked around, there are no problems with the house as such. The last occupant lived there for long and did some excellent renovation there.
I was wondering if there was anything in Islam about staying near a graveyard?

Keep doing your research, and inquire from the Shuyukh in your area.
Also, ensure to do istikhaara.

There is nothing that I am aware of which prohibits buying a house near cemetry. Make istikharah and go for it, inshALlah.
