Cii Exclusive: Syrian Scholar tells of Assad regime atrocities
This morning, Cii presenter, Ebrahim Gangat along with Mufti Abdool Kader Hoosen interviewed a Syrian Islamic scholar about the situation in the country now facing what international observers have called a possible civil war. The alim at present has left Syria and taken refuge in neighbouring Turkey from where he spoke on condition of anonymity fearing reprisals from the Bashar Al-Assad regime. The interview gave rare insight into what is happening in the country amid all the confusion and chaos. The interview represents one side of the conflict and is in stark contrast to what Syrian state media has propagated. The interview was conducted in Arabic and translated into English by Mufti Abdool Kader Hoosen. The questions have been removed to as to create a single text. “The slaughter is continuing in Shaam (Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon) for the past two years. Allah Ta’ala speaks about Shaam in several verses of the Quran. Allah speaks about the incident of Ibrahim (AS), Allah speaks about Masjidul Aqsa and there is consensus amongst all the commentators of the Quran that this is in the land of Shaam. So this means Palestine is in Shaam, it highlights the importance. All the historians are unanimous that the land of Shaam is made up of many towns and the heart of Shaam is in Damascus. There are several ahadith on this topic that allude to the virtues of Damascus. The paradise of earth is Damascus and in the ends of time when Hadhrat Mahdi (RA) will come, he will come to that part and liberate the world. “A hadith of Imaam Ahmad Ibn Hanbal (RA) narrates that the messenger, Muhammad (SAW) said that on the southern side in a place known as Ghoutha, there will that army that will be given divine assistance from Allah Ta’ala and there is consensus on the issue that this place that Nabi (AS) called Ghoutha, is in Damascus, in Syria. From here we can understand how things are unfolding and how Nabi (AS) informed us of the importance and significance of this part of the world. “At present the place of Ghoutha is still there on the southern side of Damascus and it encompasses many areas. It is a miracle we are witnessing of Muhammad (SAW). The army of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jammah that is taking on the brutal regime of Syria and their headquarters is in the land of Ghoutha even now as we are speaking. “Any person who has the history of Syria will know that for centuries there were Sunnis and Shias living side by side. There was no conflict or problems between these two communities. So much so that if you ask the innocent children and ask them to explain the difference between the Ahlus Sunnah and the Shia they will not know because there was peaceful coexistence. “The real problem is the ruling regime of the Allawis and Nusairies who want to entrench their total control and rule at whatever cost. For several years we have witnessed, with our own eyes, that the masaajid of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah are being transformed into the masaajid or headquarters of the Shia. The madaaris of the Ahlus Sunnah are being confiscated and changed into Shia places of learning. They in fact give incentives and money to the youth and convert them towards Shiasm. This is what they are trying to do even though they are a minority and the Ahlus Sunnah is in the majority. “And the government and the president (Bashar Al Assad) has built a university in the land of the Ahlus Sunnah and part of the curriculum that they are teaching the youngsters of the Ahlus Sunnah is the Aqaaid and belief of the Shia. Their objective is to change the predominantly Ahlus Sunnah country into a base for the Shias. “When the protests and marches started during the Arab Spring, we found well-armed people coming from Iran and they started shooting killing, murdering and martyring innocent people. Some were taken to prison. The innocent people are therefore facing their own (Syrian) army and getting help from outside as well. “I am really ashamed to say this but this is a reality and Allah knows it is a reality. The Iranians came and hundreds of our people have been incarcerated in prison and they forcibly sodomised them and told them they must scream Oh Ali, Oh Hussein while it was happening. People are being tortured and the government is turning a blind eye towards it because they believe the Iranians are helping them against what they call the trouble makers. We have the names of all these people who are in prison and incarcerated. “And it is not only the Iranians but even the Hezbollah (who are predominantly Shia) from Lebanon and they killed many men, women and children. Where have video evidence and we will send it to you, Inshallah and you can see it for yourself. “Wallahi, I don’t want to shame my mothers and my sisters but we have the names of hundreds of our mothers and sisters who have been kidnapped, tortured and raped by these very same people. “We do not need people to come and assist us in Syria. We have men, women and children. We don’t require any number of people in terms of support. What we require is material support and financial assistance. We are unarmed. We do not have arms to take on this brutal regime, so that is how you can help. “For the past forty years if you look at the borders and the boundaries you will find that the (Syrian) government protected the Israeli regime the most. Hafiz Al-Assad and now Bashar Al-Assad have been the most important players in protecting the interests of the Israelis. They would prefer that Bashar and his regime remain in power. “Along with dua we need financial and material support. There are thousands of children without medication. Hundreds of thousands of people have been killed, many more than the 12000 mentioned in the media. Any person who goes out with his mobile to just take a picture is shot and killed. Any person who wants to record anything is killed. So how many thousands and thousands have been killed? “Nabi Muhammad (SAW) said in an authentic hadith, that whosoever assisted people fighting in the path of Allah, he also participated in that battle. In another hadith the Sahabah (RA) asked, Oh messenger of Allah, tell us what will happen in times to come. Mustapha (AS) said there will be an army in Iraq, there will be an army in Shaam and there will be an army in Yemen. So then the Sahabah said, Oh Messenger of Allah, you choose from these three which is the best of them. Rasullulah (SAW), give preference to Shaam. what really happen in Syria is Russia want to build a big naval Base there, and as result of US missile defense shield, with Russian naval based, and Russian Radar system Syria have the ability to launch Missiles to NATO allies in whole Mediterranean and even recapture Golan
so Before that Happen, Assad must Down it's all NATO vs East once again, and the Muslims nothing just a pawn in this great conflict....same in Bahrain, and now Arab Nations want form Arab Unufication , a big United Arab States Gulf Arab leaders meeting on Monday are expected to announce closer political union, starting with two or three countries including Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, a government minister in Bahrain said. No, it's all about Kufr (ba'ath/alawi shi'as/secularists) against Islam. look how afghan Mujahideen were armed by NATO to fight Commies, and now Commies Armed Mujahideen to fight NATO in Afghanistan..... the Baathist vs Brotherhood is just minor thing in world conflict, they are nothing than Pawn which can be used as they like it's too Naive if someone think NATO will bring Islamic Law in Syria or anywhere else, or even a Caliphate. |

Bashar Al-Assad (the Syrian president) is not a Muslim and doesn’t have anything to do with Islam. He belongs to the Allaweeyin and Nusayreeyin which is amongst the worst type of Shia believing in things that are totally contrary to Islam. For the past forty years they have done a great disservice to Islam and the Muslims and now we have reached a stage where the lives of every male, female and child is in danger. “This is not something new; it was done by Bashar’s father, Hafiz Al-Assad. He (Bashar) is also one of the strongest allies of Israel. When we look at the Arab states that have borders with Israel, then he is the one who is protecting the Zionist regime. He has already sold out the Golan Heights to them. The condition is dire and serious for the people in Syria. There are thousands of people who have become refugees; thousands of people have been murdered by the brutal regime. “The Iranians and Hezbollah in Lebanon are accomplices to the crime and they are giving their full support to the brutal regime of Bashar Al-Assad. We want our rights, we want our freedom and we are totally desperate because this is going on for the last forty years in Syria. “There is limited help from neighbouring Arab countries but we need much more. When we see the amount of blood letting and mayhem, it is free for all from the government sides. Who is there to prevent all of this. The international community, the United Nations is witnessing all of this. This regime has violated every convention and every statute of the law and they are not abiding by any agreement. The international community is the one who put pressure on the South African Apartheid regime. This is the question I am asking the free world. Why are you allowing bloodletting in the holy land of Shaam? And you all know who the guilty party is. “One of the regime ministers came to our city, Hims, and wanted to negotiate. When you look at the Bashar Al-Assad regime, they have deceived the Arab governments, the international community and Kofi Annan. They keep on making promises but the war on innocent men women and children continues. And their friendship with the Israelis seems to be going on and these are the same people who lie and they are the enemies of Islam and the Muslims. “The man, Mufti Hassoun, who said anti-government demonstrations are not allowed, is appointed by the government and is not really a mufti in the true sense of the word in that he does not have independence. He works for the government and his own son has become a martyr. Then he protested and Bashar Al-Assad and his cronies warned him that if he talks too much he will be assassinated. Now the whole thing is opening up to him also as to who are the real oppressors and who are the victims. He is just carrying out his duties because of the pressure on him. He is a man of influence; he has many madaaris, but the truth of the matter is that he has also come to realise that he was siding with the wrong party all along. “Sunni and Shia have been living peacefully in Syria for 1400 years. There are so many other groupings and sects like the Isma’eelis, the Druz, the Christians and so many others and people were all coexisting peacefully. Today, when you look at the revolution, you will find predominantly Ahlus Sunnah as well as Christians and Isma’eelis all of them uniting against the oppression of the regime of Bashar Al-Assad. They have seen that he wants to impose the Allawi and Nusairy school of thought on everybody and rule come-what-may, even if it means murdering his own people. “The message is clear. We have thousands of Shuhadah (martyrs). People murdered by this regime. We have orphans, their parents have been murdered. We have widows and we have millions of people displaced in their own country and some of them leaving their borders. So think about it Oh free people of South Africa and the world. You all love your honour. You all love your freedom. This is what we asking the world. We also want our freedom and dignity and we are not asking for anything special. Yes, what we want is that the regime of Bashar Al-Assad and his cronies be toppled. We as Muslims, we live with Islam, we will die with Islam and we are always Muslims. And remember, the Messenger of Allah (SAW) spoke of Shaam and said; Oh Muslims when the people of Shaam (Syria and surroundings) become corrupted, then you the Ummah, there is no goodness in you. So we are doing ourselves a favour by helping this revolution. I beg you, I appeal to you, each one of you make dua for us. We need your material and financial support. Remember us and remember that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) taught us that when this Ummah feels pain in any part of the world then we need to feel pain. We can see it is not fiction; it is a reality on the ground. Even if its the NATO that is going to benefit from the Mujihdeen revolution that is no evidence to not to rise against the atrocities of the Zaalim government of Bashar Al-Assad! It was Imam Abu Hanifah ru who supported the khurooj against the tyrannical rule of the Mansur. He not only supported the revolution through words but supported it with his wealth. You might say that any enemy could have attacked the Khilafat at that time, or you might say that the revolution was in the interests of the enemy. The Mujahideen do not see the situation as you do, their main objective is to implement the shariah even if it means to fight Bashar Al-Assad or NATO till their last breath because Shariah is what brings peace. Even if the revolution is in the interests of NATO, what do you think Mujahideen will allow NATO to take over after Bashar Al-Assad. NO! They will fight them just as they are fighting against Bashar Al-Assad, may curses be upon him! |

   We the Muslim Ummah, have our own angle. Our angle is Islam. We Muslims ARE pawns. But we are foolish to think we should take one side or another while abandoning Islam. Both the SCO and NATO want Muslims to abandon Islam in any political sense. (China denies the existance of over 100 million Muslims to suit their Communist racialist worldview). The REAL question should be: What is the Islamic angle? How can we achieve it? The Islamic angle is the Muslim Ummah is encumbered, obligated, duty bound to reimplement an authentic Islamic state, thereby ruling and judging by what Allah has revealed. And the resumption of the Islamic state would serve as the mechanism of Dawah to Islam to the rest of the world, first and foremost the rest of the Muslim world to join in unity with the state. So this is our angle. And regimes such as Bashar's stand in our way. Everyone knows this: NATO, SCO, Bashar, the Shia in Iran all know this. Utterly demonic tyranny represses the Muslim Ummah's resurgence for an Islamic state. America, however, initiated it's Greater Middle East Initiative GMEI in order to reorder Muslim nations to better suit it's interests. Injecting secular democratic activism via political Ngos was the means of destabilizing various targetted regimes, such as Bashar's and Mubarak's. However, this was done to create an atmosphere of instability which did NOT have a definitive outcome. No one knows the outcome in Syria. Rather, it is a period of uncertainty and instability. But this is the exact time when the Muslim Ummah must take action to advance it's interests. It is NOT the time to cower or abandon our duties. Take note, the Prophet took power in Yathrib when? He took power by gaining the allegiances of the Ansar at a time with Yathrib was about to crown a new king: Abdullah bin Ubayy al Salul. That period of transition of political power was a period of instability, of weakness as common in all nations and states. The transition of power is one of the weakest, most unstable periods of any nation. But for us, it is the time to move. Yes, secular trained activists started the protests. But Muslims took up action. The key is NOT to fall victim of secular powers. Bashar responded with massacres, torture, rape, murder, mutilation, defilement, demonic tyranny. Russia, China, America, Nato cannot control what is happening in Syria. Nor should Muslims succumb to their machinations. And Allah knows best. |
