![]() ![]() A beautiful talk by Shaykh Husain Abdul Sattar on the call of S. Ibrahim (as). It is not so much/only about words as it is about "the heart reverberating an effect on people and spreading that" and developing a very deep connection with Allah (SWT). Insha'Allah you will find it beneficial. ![]() |

Assalamu Alaykum,
Here is a transcript of the talk: Advertisements are generally restricted as to their scope both geographically and over a limited period of time. What was popular a century ago may not be known about now and similarly, a product may be famous in America, but not in the UK. The ‘advertisement’ Hajj and Umrah by Ibrahim Alayhis Salam reverberates through the metaphysics of time and space such that even today, people, wherever they may be, would like to go for Hajj and Umrah. There is no end to the flow. Ibrahim Alayhis Salam’s message/announcement is still being listened to even though it was made centuries ago. So why is it that we tell our spouse or children something; they listen but do not hear? The reason is not that they do not hear. The reason is because we are not speaking the spiritual language. We are not taking advantage of Allah Ta’alah reverberating the message from our tongue, we are speaking from ourselves. How can our message/voice be heard? The more we are attached to Allah Ta’alah, the more we are purified and the more we utilise our tongues correctly, the more likely it is that change will take place in those around us. If we focus on our relationship with Allah Ta’alah, then the message will reverberate in the hearts of our children or spouses even after we are gone. The message of Ibrahim Alayhis Salam and his son Ismail Alayhis Salam reverberated through time and space because they were sincere and true servants of Allah in every aspect of their lives. Therefore we see that people are clamouring to go for Hajj and Umrah even though they may not have seen the Ka’bah, nor do they understand Arabic. Similarly the message of the Prophet Sallalahu Alayhi Wasallam has ‘transcended’ space/time. There was power in his tongue because it was motivated by sincerity, hence a few words were and are enough to change lives then and today. The power of words lies in the heart and not in the intellect or eloquence. Hence Peer Ghulam Habib Rahmatullah Alayh said that if you can’t gain from my silence, how do you propose to gain from my words? It is about the reverberation of the heart. So, if we want the deen to live on in our families, we have to establish a deep connection with Allah. Unfortunately, however, our own words do not have an effect on us, let alone others. |

never in the history of the ummah has there been so many talks and lectures and knowledge available in so many forms
yet look at the aamaals and the akhlaaq of course, the larger the supertanker the larger the turning circle to recourse yet remember the times when words were few and actions and effects many |

![]() SubhanAllah! Just heard a wonderful talk from Shaykh Husain Abdul Sattar about the endless majesty of Allah (SWT). Allah (SWT), He is the Majestic, the Mighty and the Infinite. We are awestruck by the vastness of His treasures, the ease by which He creates and... that His creation is free from our appreciation! SubhanAllah! I had just been thinking about this in another context the other day and came back to it today... in fact, it is something insha'Allah we all experience often and insha'Allah we look at, read and learn about the signs of Allah (SWT). Insha'Allah, when this talk is uploaded to the site, I or any one of us can put the link here for others to benefit. Subhan'Allah, Subhan'Allah, Subhan'Allah! ![]() [This talk, subhanAllah, speaks to those threads that talk about the technological shortcomings of our ummah or our lack of inventions etc. etc... "this life is not worth even the wing of a mosquito"... if this amazing universe around us is temporary, can you imagine what Jannah will be like? SubhanAllah!!!! Likewise, if the problems and punishments we have here are temporary - can you imagine what Jahannam will be like? Run towards jannah, run away from jahannam...] |

I did, alhamdulillah
![]() The way he makes the connections so clear (at least to me) is amazing, masha'Allah. Alhamdulillah for people like him because, like the camera example he gave, he too makes those things we can't see or understand a little clearer... Allahu Akbar! |
