Default How to disitinguish between that which is of genuine concern & that which is waswasa?
Is there any scholarly guidance backed up with evidences out there on this issue, so that in any given situation one can instantly decide that this is waswasa and this is not. For example, have I wiped or washed properly after istinja or not? Did I or did I not accidentally place the tissue in the toilet before wiping the toilet seat? How does one know what to ignore and what to give due attention to?

I remember hearing from a Shaykh (as far as I recall), he taught: if the urge is recurring, consistent persistent, then it is a shaytani urge [i.e. waswasah], and if it is every so often, then it is nafsaani [i.e your shahawaat].
