Don't blame Facebook. It's not Facebook organizing this. It's people who use Facebook who are trying to organize this. They try to have this day every year. It looks like there's a group with only about 1,300 people who are trying to plan a drawing the Prophet (saw) day on May 20th.

Regardless, it doesn't matter. People who disrespect the religion will be dealt with justly by Allah. Don't let their disbelief bother you. As Allah says in the Qur'an:

"And be not grieved by those who hasten into disbelief. Indeed, they will never harm Allah at all. Allah intends that He should give them no share in the Hereafter, and for them is a great punishment" (Qur'an 3:176)

They don't stop it because they support freedom of speech.

Freedom of speech is the same thing that gives us the right to openly practice our Islam without persecution. Some people abuse freedom of speech, but we still are all guaranteed the right.

Those who hate Islam will always try to spread their hate. Suppressing them will do nothing and is wrong. Allah will have the victory at the end no matter what they try to do.

I think they have one rule that "facebook will not tolerate any oppression against religion" ?

Muslims (excluding Ulemas) are just following their so what desires by using facebook even after knowing the reason why many Ulemas have compelled to quit it.

I have allergy with facebook and it is currently blocked on my computer .

That's a complete lie.
Facebook has a certain policy regarding hate speech and insults to religious feelings, but its admins chose not to respect it, despite a lot of brothers having complained to them and asked them to delete that page.
While, a brother on purpose opened a page celebrating Hitler and guess what, it was striked out in a very short time.

Those who hate Islam will always try to spread their hate. Suppressing them will do nothing and is wrong.
You have some serious misunderstandings in this regard.

Brother, you really should get more knowledge before promoting your opinions as if they are facts in Islam.

First of all, the shari'ah imposes a death penalty for anyone who curses Rasoolullah and repentance is not accepted for this act. Allah punishes in the hereafter or withholds his punishment depending on the sincerity of a person but the Shari'ah was given to us to judge based on the apparent, the dhaahir, not the hidden, such as a person's intentions - so if a person claims he did not intend this or that, it has little bearing since we cannot judge whether a person is being sincere or not (not even the angels can do this), whereas Allah is the only one who can.

Secondly, Facebook does not stand for freedom of speech.

When the first event like this took place, a Muslim brother wanted to test these claims of freedom of speech and created a Facebook page about Holocaust revisionism and Hitler. His page was removed and he was permanently banned.

Yes, we shouldn't blame FB. We should be FB fanatics like you.

If I start spreading slanders and filths about your parents and forefathers here, will you tolerate? Although my slanders are doing no harm to their good character because Allaah knows about them and I'll be dealt justly by Allaah for my action.
I'm asking again, will you tolerate it?

Or, perhaps it's being ignored because only 1,000 people are part of that group? Having Facebook take down the group will lead to more publicity and an even stronger showing for this drawing the Prophet (saw) movement.

You have some serious misunderstandings in this regard. Please, enlighten me with Qur'an and Hadith. Because freedom of speech and Islam are 100% compatible.

Trying to ridicule and disrespect the Prophet by drawing him (because that's exactly what these people are doing) is not freedom of speech. Society's view of freedom of speech is NOTHING compared to Allah's commands, rules and laws.

Let's go back in time and look at Abu Bakr's love for the Prophet and his anger at people who were disrespectful towards him.

"Abu Bakr's great love of the Prophet was demonstrated when peace talks at Hudaibiya were held. During the negotiations, the spokesman of Quraish was touching the beard of the Prophet every now and then. Abu Bakr's love for the Prophet was so great that he could bear no more, he took out his sword and looked angrily at the man saying, "...if that hand touches the beard of the Prophet again, it will not be allowed to go back."

Now if this is the state of a companion, what is the state for us?

We must oppose these people trying to disrespect our Prophet, because in a way they are disrespecting us!

We must not threaten to hurt these people, but rather educate them about Islam and how important Muhammad is to us. And drawing the Prophet is very disrespectful towards not only Allah, but also us as muslims.

10 people, 1,000 people, or 1 million people apart of the group - It doesn't matter.

This is a form of religious abuse and hate crime and shouldn't be tolerated at all. If the FB moderators had any sense of respect and dignity, they would take any page down supporting this act.

Did you even understand what brother Umar posted? He said that there is hypocrisy at play here because Facebook allows these cartoons to be drawn and hosted on its website while banning people who want to praise Hitler or go against the popular account of the Holocaust.

Please, enlighten me with Qur'an and Hadith. Because freedom of speech and Islam are 100% compatible. Can you tell us why Abu Bakr warred against the murtaddoon? Why was war declared against Musaylmah? Why was the poet, Ka'ab bin Ashraf, who ridiculed Muslim women assassinated during the time of Rasoolullah ?

http://aseerun.org/2012/04/16/tariq-...ing-statement/

we can't force any one to quit fb......... Any 1 who quits fb, it is his choice and it is his love for rasoolullah
saww.........

FOR THOSE BROTHERS WHO CALL THIS SHAMELESS ACT AS FREEDOM OF SPEECH...
If i abuse your parents on this forum, you will obviously force mods to delete my post and ban me. and if mods don't do this, you will obviously stop using this forum.
AND you people better know that love for Prophet saww is shart e eman and momin loves Prophet saww more than his parents, money, children and even nafs. If u agree with this Then y are you arguing against
quitting facebook????????

I urge everyone to keep calm regarding this issue. It makes me very very angry to see something like this being set up on Facebook, but our public outrage is what those organizing these things are after. Letīs not give them what they are looking for. Letīs express calm disapproval.
