Assalamun alaikum

Insha-Allaah i have been asked to give a talk in the weekly halaqah i attend...the thing is am stuck on what to talk about nd how to go about gving the talk....Whenever i talk to ppl my mind goes blank and i cant think of anything to say..I would appreciate advise on how to do this..what kind of things shall i talk about..and any tips would be most welcome..

You can never go wrong with the Six Points of Tabligh.

Alhamdulillah, With the six points you have the ability to make your talk 10 minutes or 2 hours, or less or more, depending on the situation you're in and how long you want to make your talk. Also, these are extremely important things that apply to every single Muslim, they have nothing "special" to do with Tablighi Jamaat as some people think. You can even pick just one or two (or less than all six) of these points and do your talk in detail on that specific point (such as Imaan + salaat for example). You can Google "six points of tabligh" to find even more details Insha'Allah.

I was trying to find something which will give a simple run-down like they do in the talks in the Masjid everytime, but I can't seem to find something exactly like that. Insha'Allah these should be enough to give you a solid foundation though. The thing is that pretty much any "Islamic talk" would involve at least something from these six points so it's kind of hard to avoid them.

Sister talk about Allah swt greatness
collect the verses that describe allah and explain as much as you can inshallah
it is a great oppurtunity allah has given to you to do dawah
often times the one who prepares thetalk learns more than the listener
be happy that allah swt has given you this opportunity and focus on pleasing him
inshallah, it be the begining of your dawah work

sheikh Ibrahim has a great section in Asma Of allah swt "Darul Uloom Al Madania. sheikh Katani also has amazing talks about greatness of Allah swt
Also most qurans with index have list of Allah swt asma referance. My experience has been; when you give talk you do not teach people , you just remind them . most people know most of the things you want to tell them. It is just that sheitan make us forget so we need constantly remind each other. another words talk very simple explain simply . and explaining anything about allah SWT does wonder in the heart.
