Salam alaykum,
Although most people on IA forum are not fans of Tabligh, they are refuting unjust criticism of Tabligh by a Youtube 'salafi' da'i named Wajdi Akkari. This is an interesting read but the thread is too long and already running 28 pages. Code: Code
http://forums.islamic-awakening.com/f15/wajdi-akkari-on-the-tablighi-jamaah-58433/ Please remove the hyphen between islamic-awakening and make it a single word to view the correct address. |

![]() They ripped through Br. Wajdi Akkari. Maybe the brothers of Sunni Forum can use this and make a reply to the brother in a good manner and even justly too. I feel that some of the criticism is correct, but a too much big of a wide brush was used, and when someone does that it only exposes a cultist behaviour, of course when there are millions doing this there will be many mkistakes made also, we are all human. Someone should reply aptly and then forward it to the Brother. |

Salam alaykum, May Allah forgive the mistakes of Wajdi Akkari, I learnt A LOT from this brother although I'm a hanafi. You see, people from other "groups" have a lot of things to offer which we both can enjoy and learn from - he has a lecture on riyaa, how to make the most of ramadan, the shias etc. which everyone can benefit from. Who knows? MAYBE THROUGH THOSE LECTURES ALLAH HAS FORGIVEN HIM FOR HIS SMALL SHORTCOMING (which was literally a 5-10 minute speech) IN OTHER THINGS AND ON THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT SUCH CRITICISM MAY GO TO HIS FAVOUR (and this is not an ordinary brother but a big da'iee). I get the whole concept of people publicly refuting other people so those who were affected by it can also learn. But there's one thing I don't get: why don't they just privately discuss it with him and then inshallah if he agrees then tell him to publicly correct himself. |
