Can anybody present some jewels from their writing on taqleed & madhab they adheres to.

As-Safidi one of the students of Ibn Taymiyyah said. "He took the path of the Hanbali Madhab, the Madhab of Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal, and there was no one in the Madhab who awakened nor made the Madhab more noble than Ibn Taymiyyah." It must be noted though that during his early life he was stricter in sticking to the "Madhab" and as he gained age and knowledge, obviously he became who he was, and eventually was a Mujtahid, so with that he began to follow the Usool of the Madhab without necessarily always following the exact Raajih opinion of the Madhab.

I like to know better about these two figures as well , There seems to be different points of view about them .
I received a book on Salah by Hafiz ibn Qayyim never got the time to go through it.

Should I study it or better to leave it alone ?

If it's a book of fiqh then no you shouldn't read it because your Hanafi and it would probably confuse you.

If it's about Khushoo or something then yes.
