WIN
look how the 'and what if they dont' obsessed journalist gives clear proof of how an Islamic government based on shariah is infinitely superior to any other form of government. though i suspect in their hatred for Islam, the liberals will even side with thieves. "people are now scared to even commit theft. this is one of the gravest violations of basic human rights - the right to steal. in yemen a man had his hand cut for stealing an air conditioner and some other items. we are more humane, we lock up people for that. and when the crime goes out of hand we send the police to kill them all - this is how civilized world operates not like these jihadis" (p.s i made up that part in italics - dont be alarmed ; p) |

On what basis does he make those claims. These are clearly mujahideen, and there is no reason to doubt their word. If they claim to be Al Qaeda, then we will believe them unless someone can provide a satisfactory reason not to. He has to bring forth his proof as to why he doubts them, since our proof (to believe them) is their upright character |

His only proof is- I know it because I'm a Yemeni, just like some Pakistanis who always try to bash TTP Mujahideen and say that- we know better than you because we live in Pakistan. Let them live with their belief, I quit. |

Here is a video of them providing food, and people being interviewed about how they feel about the group (known as Ansar Al Sharia): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmTcv...eature=related |

i bash ttp - but i dont say that : ( By the way, what do you say about Sirajuddin Haqqani who has become a great threat for US-NATO invaders? He runs operation in Afghanistan from Waziristan. And he must be associated with TTP. Isn't he? |

In fact, your I mean the Pakistani people's attitude proves that. In another thread a member ignored my points on the favour of TTP. He neither showed any proof to prove his claims nor accepted my proofs against his claims. and ofcourse i am a pakistani living in pakistan so i know better : p |

I haven't read thoroughly but these may be the messages: I'd be very interested in reading Amir al-Mu'minin's stance regarding them, if he has ever expressed any publicly. Too much confusion regarding them; Allah knows best. |

Yes these are 'Id messages but no mention is made of TTP. Yes, but this confusion regarding them comes from the Pak government and Army. The same people who attacked Laal Masjid and who helped the US find Bin Laden, and sold Muslims to the US and partake in drone attacks on people within their own borders, and allow NATO to use their air bases. Not like we can trust what such people say about TTP |

I completely agree with you, and I don't have any sympathy for the na-Pak government or army, nor for Pakistani nationalism (I still remember what a brother said, on the line of "when it was the time of having an Islamic "revolution" in Afghanistan and Afghani people having to sacrifice and die for this, Pakistanis supported it and declared lawful; when it's the time of having an Islamic "revolution" in Pakistan, all of a sudden these sacrifices become haram and it's necessary to obey the government). But, still, some very dear people to me expressed a different viewpoint on the basis of direct experiences with the TTP, and I can't obliterate their judgement on the basis of accusing them of "Pakistani nationalism", when I know that's not the case. It should also be remembered that being against an open enemy doesn't automatically means the opposer is 100% right in everything he does or says. I just think we need more clarity, and rest assured I'm not talking on the basis of Pakistani intelligence's propaganda (i.e. TTP being agents of India and zionists with the objective of destroying the "mythical" Pakistan". |

Dr. Atif told a very logical thing on this matter in another thread (like this)- Pakistanis think Afghan Taliban are real Mujahideen because they are on the other side of Pakistan's border. But they don't accept TTP completely because they are inside of Pakistan. I've seen among many Pakistanis that they appreciate the present system of the country. They don't expect complete Shariah implementation. |

I understand bro, and I know you are not against mujahideen But could I ask what exactly these experiences have led the people you mention to think that TTP are not 100% and so forth? |

Yes, this I think is the quote I was talking about. It makes sense. But I don't think all the criticism against TTP boils down just to this element - at least, not for all people criticising them. But could I ask what exactly these experiences have led the people you mention to think that TTP are not 100% and so forth? I'm not exactly sure, that's why I'm confused myself. I've heard things as people got killed just for not growing a fistful beard or having trousers below ankle (indeed I agree that both are sinful actions, but can't be punished with death), and so on. Also on the other thread some (pro-mujahidin, not secularists) brothers mentioned of TTP justifying hitting civilians in their own video (unfortunately I don't understand urdu). The impression I have is that there may be proper "extremists" elements influenced by takfiri salafi-jihadi ideologies, and creating havoc due to this. Allahu knows best. |
