Default Forcing Grown Children to Perform Religious Deeds

I've read somewhere that parents are not anymore responsible for their grown children (i.e. 20 years old), and that they are not allowed to force them to don anything?

I think it was perhaps from Ml. Hakeem Akthar who quoted it from Ml. Thanwi.

Can someone perhaps post anything on this issue?

Salaamu alaiykum wa rahmatullah
I personally would not like to force anyone into doing religious deeds. I would rather they be inspired by people to do it out of their own will (I got this from Imam Siraj Wahhaj, may Allah bless him and his works). Because once the person who is forcing is not around, do you think the child will continue to do it? Anyways, that's an aside. Other than that, then I can't really comment due to lack of knowledge.
