Default Newt Gingrich: Palestinians are "invented" people
http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_1...vented-people/

"Remember, there was no Palestine as a state. It was part of the Ottoman Empire," Gingrich told the Jewish Channel

Why do you guys make of this amazing logic?
Anyways Palestine at the time had no more than 10-15 percent Jewish as many Hebrew Jews became Muslim or left Palestine and thus Palestine became a Muslim state. The purely Islamic argument is that Palestine has always belonged to the Muslims as David a.s. was a Muslim ruler anyways..

Gingrich idolizes Mustapha Kemal Atakufr. He has said he thinks Atakufr provided the model for Islam in the modern age.
Gingrich is also a history professor. He is no ignorant fool like most of them.
He is, however, a clear enemy of Allah and Islam.

In that sense, the reference to Palestine as well as all the other biblical names of current Muslim countries of the region of biladul Sham come from the Judeo Christian conquest of the region. Upon conquest, regions were renamed, reorganized according to ancient biblical conception- not by the Muslims and not according to Islam.
Thus, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon etc. And the formation of these nation states were done by the kafir conquerors according to the Sykes Picot agreement, later accepted by the League of Nations and eventually by the UN, with variations.

There was once a people called Palestine based on biblical reference. The Arabs and Muslims who eventually resided in the area once inhabited by Palestinians began calling themselves Palestinians as their perception of themselves shifted from being based on Islam to being cased on the kufar's perception.

They perceived as nationalism dictated. As they resided in the same location as ancient Palestinians, as the English King James Roman Catholic Anglican christian conquerors percieved it, then they too were Palestinians just as the Jews from Europe were residing in Sham began describing themselves as Israelis based on Zionism.

One could argue that modern nationalism IS supported if not originating from, the Bible and zionism. Zionism being the fundamental concept of modern nationalism: that a particular land belongs exclusively to a certain set of people of a particular ethnicity by Divine rite regardless of the conduct of said people.

So in a sense, there is some truth to Gingrich's logic. But that same truth also indicates that all the nations of the "Middle East" are made up, aka illegitimate. Which is true: all the nation states are illegitimate because they are NOT from Islam.
