Default Tahiyat al-Masjid
Salam

I wonder does anyone know much about Tahiyat al-Masjid. I understand it is a Sunah but is it practised in Hanafi madhab if not which madhab adheres to this.

The country of my origin, Pakistan, is predominately hanafi but I have not come across it before but then I have only recently started praying 5 times. So my question is what's the Hanafi view on the Tahiyat al-Masjid

Tahiyyat-al-Masjid is part of the Hanafi madhhab as well. It is a highly recommended sunnah. Whenever one enters any masjid, it is recommended that they perform 2 raka'at tahiyyat-al-masjid. If there isn't enough time, then the tahiyyat-al-masjid can be combined with the sunnah prayers. If there isn't enough time for even the sunnah, then they can be combined with the fardh salah.
