What's the most polite way to tell someone: MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. ?
Its quite common and extremely irritating when ppl ask you things about which are not supposed to concern them in the very least bit. Honestly, when they ask you things like: How much profit does your dad make per month? How much did he pay for this car? Why is he spending so much on this project? How much zakaat does he give every year? Does he rates and taxes? Who's your cousin making georgie porgie nonsense with now? Is so and so having marital problems? Is your sisters sister-in-law's mother-in-law doing backdoor business? Do your mum and her in-laws get along well? etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. GGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrr!!! You try your best to change the topic and say you don't know, which is true 90% of the time... but it's something they're really dying to know, so naturally the questions always pop-up again and all you wanna tel them is ''Plz Will You Mind Your Own Business? But of course you're too polite to say so ![]() So in your opinion whats the best way to say it nicely without anybody getting mad, sad or upset in the process??? Jazaakallahu khair. |

It wouldn't make sense translated in Urdu though (what of your father is going).
According to my husband, tell the person the hadeeth of Rasulullah ![]() You can also politely tell them that you dont like eating raw meat. Maybe they will get the hint. And if they do take offence, then lucky for you; after all you're ears will be safe. |

Where do you live? Are you married? do have fights with your wife? planning for a second wife? will you first wife give permission? do you already have a second wife without her knowing? how do you handle two wives? Don't tell me you are not married.! ![]() ![]() yeah ... one should try to see and enjoy the humor in common nuisances in life . One good way is to Answer questions with questions You will find this a common tactic practiced by people who like to control the direction a conversation goes. If the person persists on a certain point ask multiple questions of your own casually about the related matter at first then matters unrelated . Eager to hear their answer. That will most likely put them offtrack or make them confused of the original questions motive. I remember visiting a mall in Langkawi , Malaysia with my wife and a very good looking but dense sales girl comes up to us trying to promote a certain ' Herbal product ' for men . She asked me ' When are you planning to have a baby ? ' I started asking her if she was married and ended up proposing her to be my second wife on the shop floor. To make it more convincing I advertised my financial worth and even chipped in a line how the product she was selling would become useful. The face of my wife and the sales girl was a image worth it . ![]() Of course my wife knew I was joking all along but still needed some time to cool off. ![]() Chill out and don't take life so seriously and the people around you in these kind of situations. |

I remember visiting a mall in Langkawi , Malaysia with my wife and a very good looking but dense sales girl comes up to us trying to promote a certain ' Herbal product ' for men . Ah ha I knew you were looking for that second wife. But seriously I can't really believe you pulled that stunt of in front of ya wife. he he he. Chill out and don't take life so seriously and the people around you in these kind of situations. But sometimes such questions hurts some people. Eg: sometime in a family they may be searching for a spouse for their children and they might not be getting a match unfortunately. Already the parents are worried and on top of that relatives pass comment like 'hey get him/her married soon, or you won't get a good relation', some people even go overboard and scold them for 'delaying' in getting their kids married. But in reality they might be not getting a match after trying hard. People need to have empathy. But sometimes people ask questions just to strike a conversation but ask the wrong questions. It has happened to me at times. ahem. |

What's the most polite way to tell someone: MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS. ? Step 1: Looking at that person's face straightly (pretending to be 50% irritated+50% angry), Step 2: A typical Sunnah style smile which will contradict Step 1, Step 3: Saying (in robotic tone)- "Sorry, I don't know" (with extreme politeness). Result: That person will be confused by your contradictory attitudes of Step 1 and 2. So he/she won't ask those type of questions again. |
