al-Salamu `Aleykum wa Rahmatullah,
I would like it if the English speaking forums of the Muslims were united, and by united I don't mean that silly idea of merging all the forums into one, but I mean opening a small forum where the admins and mods of all of the Muslim forums would come together and discuss mutual issues, forum rules, Islamic issues and how things should be dealt with on forums such as the Quranists or Atheists or attacking Scholars from opposing schools and so on... in order to have peace and a type of unity, and so that for example Salafi/Hanbali forums won't be banned on Hanafi/Sufi forums and vice-versa, so we can bring together forums like "Ummah" and "Islamic-awakening" and "SunniForum" and "Ahlul-Hadith" and "Euro-Sunni" and "Islamic-Forum" ect... The idea is something like the "Arab league" but to unite Muslims instead of Arabs, so what do you think? I've been a mod on "Islamic-Forum" and I saw great benefit in discussing matters with other mods, how certain problems should be dealt with, and we'd agree on certain rules, how convenient would it be if rules became "universal" and if these things were discusses at a wider range across forum borders. |

Soon Barak H. Obama will contact you - he would like a permanent US Representative on the Council of Islamic Fora.
PS: My vote is in favour of the action. I never enjoyed when people have celebrations at the expanse of SF and that made me conscious of the fact that other Fora too were populated by Muslims and I do have certain duties towards them. |

![]() I had this thought some days ago like the forums get united in following some islamic standard. There are really amazing muslims in other forums too who are quite inspirational. Eventhough each forum is unique in its own way, most of the time its too much chit-chat between opposite genders and unnecessary threads that have kept me away from some forums. It would be nice if some islamic standard is set for all the muslim forums. Allahu alam |

i vote for this
the mods should put a tab on matters related to in-depth aqeedah and fiqh and should encourage people to discuss and hatch plans so that Islam can be taken to the lazy,non-practising or misguided muslims. i feel too much time is wasted on deep intricate matters of deen that we are not really equipped to discuss. it has disastrous consequences. |

So who is going to moderate the moderators?
And this issue is the same as trying to unite the Muslims in general and we all know that ain't happening very soon. Who is going to decide which is an Islamic forum and which is a deviant forum. At the end of it if anything does come if it we will have a bunch of deobandis forums at most. Salam Saqqib |

So who is going to moderate the moderators? Who's moderating the moderators here? no one. If the moderators fear Allah and I assume they do, then they won't need anyone to moderate them, they just need admins for technical issues. Also there is a way or a Tariqah to discuss any matter, we all know we don't agree on everything, and most definitely the purpose of unity is NOT to call each-other deviants, and brand this and that forum as deviants ect... The purpose is to unite Ahlul-Sunnah on common grounds and create respect and restrict attacks on opposing schools and so on. At the end of the day this is just an idea. |
