I was reading Zuhr salah not too long ago and while reading my 4 sunnah I had a suspicion that my back was showing when I went into sujood.
I had no actual evidence that it was showing so decided that I would sort out my belt on my jeans when I had finished. But I forgot. I then went onto read 4 fahrz behind an imam. During this, I also had strong suspicion that my back was showing but since I had already joined the prayer I couldn't exactly leave it. Should I read my zuhr salah again now? As Qada. |

![]() Are you certain that your back was showing? If you are, then you have to repeat salah. If you have a strong suspicion and it is just two prayers, you should repeat these prayers. You should wear appropriate clothes for salah, not just for your sake but for the sake of others. If your back is showing, it can also be seen by others. In some madhahib (I think the Shafi'i madhhab - Shafi'i brothers correct me please ![]() |

I then did a few 'fake' rukoos with the intension of seeing whether my back was showing and around 85% of the all the rukoos I did, my back was not showing. |

I have absolutely no proof what so ever, but when I finished I realised because my shirt was not tucked in that it is possible my back would have been showing. ![]() It all comes down to how sure you are whether your back was showing or not. If you're even slightly certain, you should repeat the salah. |
