Default Clearing misconceptions: Drawing the fine line
Salaamu alaiykum
I think this is a very important, elaborate, yet subtle topic (possibly a sticky?) - how do we draw the fine line between a sin and a good deed. It may seem obvious at first but sometimes it may get confusing. For example: How do we draw the fine line between doing da'wah and criticising/judging? How do we draw the fine line between being a good listener and open minded to people who claim knowledge and delving into things which your lack of knowledge may cause you to be misguided? How do we draw the fine line between keeping the ummah united and reviving the sunnah? How do we draw the fine line between being merciful and friendly to the creation, and doing al wala wal bara' (particularly the hating for the sake of Allah part)? If people could answer these questions as detailed as they can (I don't really catch short statements well), and possibly answer other questions which other people may have.
Jazakallahu khaiyrun
