Mash'Allah!!! You bring up a very good point. Even though this disease of modernity has infested the Sacred Cities it has also infected the Ummah in general. Sometimes I cant tell if someone is Muslim or not simply due in part to the parasitic norms of social transgression. The solution for all of this is something that has been told down through the centuries but when one brings it up, one is an extremist or whatever. A great solution is to formulate and build Muslim villages and/or small cities that implement true Shariah. Have Muslims buy out portions of a city or a plot of land and tell the govt that we will not go by your kufr laws and we will implement Shariah and to mind their own business. Will this happen? No it probably wont. Implementation of the Shariah, implementing the Quran and Sunnah devoid of deviation starts at home and with the self. I believe that in the Sacred Cities, they need to ban all cameras, cell phones and any other method of behavior that stains the image of these beloved cities.

![]() The problem is, the government cannot do anything. The people have to be better educated before entering the holy cities. A lot of people do not know proper etiquette because many people do not normally go to the masajid at their own localities. A lot of people come from countries where people aren't even given proper basic Islamic education. Who knows how many people even have proper wudhu during tawaaf, holding the Qur'an, or even during salah. Before the popularity of camera phones, all photography and videography was banned (the only video recording that was done was by the cameras mounted on the haram and they were for live footage for the Saudi channel 2). Because of the camera phones, the Saudi government removed signs warning against photography and videography because too many people were using them. The worst was when a person was using his phone to take pictures and videos while standing in the middle of riyaadh ul jannah in Masjid an-Nabawi ![]() |

I believe that it is imperative to try and get all forms of video portrayal equipment(phones, security cameras, etc..) banned from at least the grounds of Masjid Al-Haram and Masjid An-Nabawi. I understand that it is a beautiful site to see the Ummah performing Hajj but in context its violating their rights. many muslims do not want to be filmed yet they violate their rights as muslims by exposing them through these tools

Even though it had banned photography and videography before the popularity of camera phones, it had those live cameras within the haramain. Also, even in Makkah, you're going to see huge portraits of the Saudi kings, despite Saudi ulama having said that drawing portraits and having physical images of living objects is haraam (Saudi ulama do allow digital images, so that is why there has never been an issue with Saudi ulama appearing on television). |

Sometimes The Guards Tell The People To Stop. Also By The Minbar - Pulpit, Yesterday People Were Taking Photos Near That Area Of Masjid Nabawi

The Blessed Lands Of The Grand Mosque Is Becoming Like A Tourist Resort ! So Why Cant We As People Share The Real Message Of Respect Of Masjids As It Can Get Worse And Worse. People Calling Family At The Time Of Salaat, Touching The Ka'abah, Adhan Time ETC.
Nowadays People Care More About Staying In The Posh Hotels, Eating On Tables With Folk And Knives And Spending Time Like A Proper Holiday. If We Dont Spread The Correct Message The Sanctity Of The Haramain Will No Longer Remain Like How It Was Many Years Back |

![]() This is from an email. Use a Mobile phone Jammer (search it on google). If Saudi can spend BILLIONS on trains, bridges and buildings (even its website costed alot see :muftisays[dot]com) surely this will be cheap for them to implement this in the Masjid Al Haram and Masjid Nabawi. How Mobile Phone Jammers Work A mobile phone signal jammer is used by nightclub and casino owners to stop cell phone use in the building. The jammer also stops Internet use through Wi-Fi network and even blocks Bluetooth connections. The cell phone signal jammer also puts an end to text messaging, so students cannot SMS each other, while the teacher is trying to teach. The range of a personal cell phone jammer can be from 10 meters to 100 meters. The jammer can also work at a distance or behind walls. Portable cell phone jammers are small and pocket-sized, and look like cell phones themselves. The jammer fits into a pack of cigarettes, so it is easy to hide. The jammer works well, even when it is in an enclosure. Larger cell phone jammers are more powerful and have a range that can be measured in miles. A cell phone jammer has three antennas, one each for GSM, 3G and DCS. The jammer works by broadcasting a white noise signal or a wave bubble. First, you have to charge the jammer for at least an hour. Then, you have to plug-in the jammer, and turn it on, so cell phones in the proximity will have no service available and all calls are lost. Some cell phones switch to searching, which means their signal is knocked out. When you turn off the jammer, the signals normalize. However, a cell phone jammer also blocks emergency calls made to doctors and first responders. For example, a jammer can stop the residents of a house to make a 911 call to the police, when thieves are burgling their house. This is why a jammer is illegal, according to telecommunications regulations in the United States. The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) thinks a jammer interferes with the public airwaves, and a jammer infringes on a person's right to use a cell phone. A jammer also interferes with medical devices, such as pacemakers, used by heart patients. You have to pay penalties, if you're found using a cell phone jammer. Cell phone jammers are wanted by the federal government, law enforcement agencies and the military. In Iraq, terrorists use cell phones to trigger explosives. The U.S. Army can use a jammer to make mobile phones go dead, so that army technicians can deactivate the bomb. There may also be a law that allows officials to install jammers in prisons, to eliminate cell phone use by prison inmates. You can buy a cell phone jammer on the Internet from foreign electronic companies. Some cell phone jammers can be fitted with frequency filters, so you only jam certain frequencies. Now that you know how cell phone jammers work, you can go to Mexico and use them over there, whenever you get rankled by a bothersome cell phone user. By Mukul Deshpande |

the Phone Jammer Idea May Be Very Good However I Really Doubt They Will Implement This.
If A Good Article Or Letter Was Made And Sent As An Email To All The Tour Operators In Each Area Or The Masjids, The Message Will Get Through. These Points Are Just A Few Of Which Is Going Around. There Is A Few More Points Which Can Be Added To The List. We Cant Brush Things Like This Aside. Even If The Thread Only Benefits A Few People, This Is Better Than Saying, Lets Leave This As We Cant Get The Message Around To The Muslims Worldwide. The Masjids Usually Do A Hajj Programme For Example, So In That, They Can Mention It. Some People Nowadays Specially Take A Camera Just For This Purpose. |
